Ok so today I installed my TRD intake. I had no problems until I came to the lower intake pipe. The place that it has to be fastened to hold four different wires. The problem is that the existing screw will not come off. I tried everything and can't get that screw off so for the time being I have the intake held there by a plastic tie. It is pretty secure for now but I wanted to know if anyone could give me advice on how to remove that screw. I'm limited on tools unfortunately and I'm trying to avoid paying some mechanic to fix it. Anyone have any good ideas???

Pictures would be hard to take because I'd have to remove the fender and the splash shield...I think the bolt is either stripped or rusted. I'm guessing stripped because I'm almost positive water can't get to that bolt

uhh.. are you talking about the ground wire on the inside of the fender?

well the nut side is welded on... and the bolt is a 10mm..

were you trying to remove the welded nut?

go to a hardware store and buy a kit that removes stripped bolts, it looks like this http://www.amazon.com/IRWIN-394002-Bolt-Grip-Expansion/dp/B0000EI9B6
craftsman makes it too

I guess my real question would be...Is it necassary to have that fastened in that last spot even if upper and middle intake pipes are fastened?

it would be safe to do so... install it the way it was meant to...

a 10mm ratchet.... if you really have issues... try some wd-40

if that doesn't work... hit the gym.

i'm guessing you were trying to take off the welded nut on the wrong side. go around to the front side and remove the 10mm bolt and just relocate the ground bolt to the frame like it tells you
