Default TRD Shocks and lowering the tC.

I am seriously considering getting the TRD Lowering Springs for my tC. My main question is what is the point of the TRD Shocks? Dont the Shocks need to be changed if you change the springs?

Also, has anyone had anyone had problems with scraping the ground? (1.5" drop?)

What was the final costs for labor and everything?

Any possible negatives I am not thinking of?
