Default 18's, anyone?

I am just woundering if anyone has gotten the optional 18 inch rims for their tC yet?
What i would like to see is them on the car, with the whole car and not just the rim itself ( like the one at scion.com ). So if anyone has pictures if they could show me or post them.

The reason why im asking is because i am ordering my tC this weekend and was woundering if i would like them or not

Are they worth it you think?
Thanks...........Mike

For the price, they are not worth it. The main reason to buy upgraded rims (should) be to be unique, and paying (about) 1400 for rims and tires that you know will be (somewhat) common is pretty absurd.

You couldnt be more WRONG!!!

Thats definately not the reason why I bought them.

I love them, they look great and I get compliments on them all the time and they perform very well . Dealer option including tires + installed = $1,000.00 Thats very very reasonable .I think they are made for Toyota by Enkei ( very well respected manufacturer of aftermarket rims) > I remember them being called "Liquid Metal" and they sure look it.

They look way to spindly for me.

The tC is a car that needs strong, substantial looking wheels like the 5 spoke TRD's or some mesh BBS's (or knockoffs).

I thought they were a great deal too.. i got them on mine as well. then i started realizing that yea.. you pay the 1000 dollars plus you lose your stock rims.. so the actual cost of those rims is however much your stock rims cost.. plus 1000 dollars.. then it seems less like a deal. the only thing that makes this a good deal for some.. (me) is that you're able to finance the rims in your payment and not pay 1000+ out of pocket for rims and tires later..

I 2nd that I would never upgrade the wheels. It is just a waste of money, you can can get an aftermarket one and get to keep your old rims and do what you please with them.

Holy crap haha.. i just called the dealer. the stock rims are $413 a piece.

413 (stock per rim)
x 4
------
$1652
+ 1000 (upgrade to 18's)
----------
$2652

I purchased the 18" rims as well and love them. The dealership gave me the stock 17" rims and tires so JT Scion's price analysis is incorrect. If you like the look, buy them.

Well for those of us that didn't get our stock rims back.. that cost analysis is correct.

I got some sick aftermarket rims, ill post pic when i get the chance. But I heard if you get the aftermarket rims, they werent an option for me to get them, i HAD to get them. But yah i heard that the dealership should still be able to give you the orginal stock rims on it even if you got the aftermarkets. is this true ?

im confused, your talking about aftermarket rims...then going on to talk about how the dealer should give you the stocks if you get aftermarket rims?...aftermarket rims dont have anything to do with the dealer, so why should they give anything to you for changing your rims?..that or are you talking about those same rims or the TRDs?
