The Gumball 3000 is an annual 3000 mile (5000 km) international rally which takes place on public roads, which travels around the world. Although set up as a rally with no official timing, or prizes for reaching check points first, during the rally, some participants have been fined for speeding and other traffic offences by the police in countries they passed through, cars have been confiscated and the 2007 rally was cancelled after a car participating in the rally was involved in a fatal collision with a non-participating vehicle. I think hes thinking like the gumball rally. It kinda like a cross country race/cruise watever... leave it to the rich ppl who can afford bail after getting arrested for goin 140 on a 55 in there lambos and ferarris

and you really dont have to race, but just get left behind.

 

All in all this is a dumb idea. Dont mean to be harsh but alot of ppl think any racing thats not on the track it retarded and ppl who do it are even more retarded. Like I said leave it the rich ppl caus eapparently money get u out of anthing

I digg, if someone can organize it, i'm in. It be cool to run a 3000 with scions only, meet new friends, people, etc.

 

call me crazy but, Yea I kinda feel like staying alive. It looks fun, but there's one problem. We don't have fast cars and we don't have major $$. atleast I don't.

 

I with you on that hans.....i dont have money to throw away....im in school and paying for my tC and trying to move out soon....

 

Call me crazy, but I don't really want to drive my car cross country and back just for the hell of it. Maybe if I had a car that wasn't mine.

logistical nightmare....no one on here that I know of has that kind of money lol considering the average age group and income for people that have these cars. I'm sure there might be one or two people on here that could do it. Just doesn't sound exciting to me at all with only scions. Now if I could actually afford to do the real one then that's a different story...that might be fun. But good idea i guess....just not practical at all.

i would totally be down for this...
if i had a isht load if extra money for gas, lodgin food, tickets, bail, etc...
o and if i didnt already have a bunch of moving violations and wasnt in danger of losing my license after the next one.
Its to bad that normal ppl like all of us actually have to work for a living and dont have time to waste moeny that weve barely even earnedlike some of those guys.

 

I just suggest it, If we gather money for this thing, it will be party for each city night we spend at, and at the end there will be reward for "things." I am not trying to get everybody to go. Plus! I just a fricking SUGGESTION!!!! about doing this!!!!!

I do understand that people have JOB LIFE, I have one too, but learn to save some money or invest your money.

If really what to do it SAVE YOUR MONEY.
I though it be cool to do it.
Some people would never thing about doing a road trip without a resion for doing it.
Something to make or tell about what you did with you live.
Be smart about it. If you know you have to much "Tickets " do not do anything that will get you another one!

 

im not saying i wouldnt do it.
im just saying that i dont have the time or money for it.
all my time goes to work and all my money goes back into my car.
also, if i saw a bunch of tC flying down the highway, im pretty sure i couldnt resist, im not gonna do the speed limit while everyone else is going around 100. lol.
so yea, i would totally be down, just not really possible for me.

Rallying is so much fun, I love it. I wish to participate in more in the coming years.
Currently the only rally (not really a rally but sort of the same concept) is the Superstreet Tour. From NJ-Atlanta GA. One night overnight in NC, and Atlanta motor speedway as the final destination. It is amazing and great fun. And then its a weekend at NOPI Nationals.

I highly recommend it as it is a free rally, just gotta pay for gas and accomodations. I went for the last two years, and plan on doing so again in '08.
