Ksports are lowered by the perch(the bottom part of the coilover, with the two hole) not the spring like most coilovers. The black pieces are used to hold your brake lines. most people just mount it the the perch holes.

if you look you can see the black piece on the bottom nut on the perch.

i really like the design of the ksport coilover. i'd pick it over the tein basic.

on any coilover system, you can adjust the height by the spring perch. that would be the double orange locking nuts just beneath the spring. one reason this is undesirable is it disturbs the balance of the car whenever you change the height. you are essentially changing the spring preload.

with the ksport, the lower perch is where you can adjust the ride height. this gives the coilover full suspension travel and also the ability to change spring preloads without changing the ride height.

the last thing i like about this coilover is the adjustable endlink mounts. some people have had problems with the front hotchkis sway bar rubbing. this would solve that problem.

the part that sucks about this is you have to remove the wheels and the two nuts/bolts every time you want to change the ride height.

hmmm... so inorder to change ride hit or dial it in for the first time, i would have to keep removing the wheel and bolts to spin the lower bracket to the desired height? hmm... i had been considering these as an option, but now its starting to sound like a PITA. Changing spring pre-loads would be done where normal coilovers adjust the height correct?
