Can someone tell me if I have the cruise / throttle body connection right?

http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_img_a/680066_25_full.jpg

Is the bracket suppose to be on the side with the red outline? I also think I f**ked up by loosening nut 1 and not number 2:

http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_img_a/680066_28_full.jpg

Also, can someone tell me if the throttle cable has some slack in the line? I think mine may be a little to loose now, but not sure.

The pictures in the instructions I have are so damn $hitty!!!

How the hell do you get to the back of the fuse panel to insert the brown power wire with the 1,000,000 wires in the way????

Did you guys remove the entire fuse box so you could face the wiring toward you?

Man, I am ready to take the $hit out and sell the damn thing

lol, I checked mine, which is a retro fit, so it's not the source of truth, but the hand made bracket  on mine looks to be in the same position as yours.

Also, there's not slack, but I can deflect the cable 1/4" either way without much pressure at all.

Finally "back" of the fuse panel.?

try pushing up on the backside of the little cubby in front of the fuse block (down by the hood release).

http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=29238 has a pic of what I'm talking about. (it's under a "TOOLS" heading.)

Ok, I'm finally over the flu and back to this $hit!

Just snapped a picture of the fuse panel with the cubby pocket removed:

http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_img_a/680066_35_full.jpg

What I see in the picture of all the fuses / relays and whatever the hell else is there does not match up with the $hitty drawings in the instructions.

The place(s) where I tap in. Can you see them in the picture?

tcm_xb: wishes this came installed with the car :(

do you have a test light? You want a power supply that comes on with the key, but off when the key's off.

What wire are you trying to get?

If you jsut trying to get ignition or battery go straight to the ignition harness near the key cylinder.

I'm trying to figure out the complete wiring of the cruise. The instructions tell what pins to tap into for power, but I can not find them in the car....

I do not have a test light. I have a multi-meter if that matters 8)

How about make a list of the wires you need...... post them and it will be easier to help you.

Yeah, if you know you need switched power or constant power or low power only on Tuesdays... let me know and I'll use MY tester, but yse, your multi meter will work. IT should tell you when you have current (and it's all 12v current).

Where is the "back plug" that is located on "the back of the fuse box"? Seriously, I look behind the fuse panel (pic above) and see 50,000 wires in bundles......

Just put a fuse on it and run it to the blacl or the black/yellow wire at the ignition harness.

holy cow, I went out and took a look. That's rough.

personally, I'd jack one of the outs in the front of the fuse bloick that comes on when the key is on the ON position. The cubby says not to use "undesignated locations" though. :)

I just want to do the install correctly. I'm going to have to find the people with cruise control installed and just PM them and see if they can take a look. This is more complicated than the motor swap I did in my Honda Civic :? BTW > Box is for sale if interested.....
