Emissions test question
So I don't know how many other places have this, but I imagine its quite a few but if you don't I'll explain. down here in austin they subject our cars to an emission test during our inspection to make sure your car isn't putting out more than its fair share of exhaust. My question is has anyone had any problems passing inspection after performance mods.
I've got the fujita short ram, the megan racing headers, and trd exhaust
any thoughts are greatly appreciated

You should be fine as long as everything is working right and tuned properly. These thing put out about as much pollution as a motorcycle so I don't think one could fail unless it had a faulty injector or bad cat.
I don't know about Texas, but here in Virginia they've switched to OBDII inspections on 1996 and newer cars instead of the older tailpipe emissions test. There's also a visual inspection of "certain emissions control systems that were originally installed on the vehicle by the manufacturer", a gas cap pressure test, and a "visible smoke inspection." If everything is working (no error codes), then it should pass. I've had intakes on other cars and passed. They probably wouldn't even look at the header. The exhaust wouldn't make a difference since it's cat back.
bumping old topic but dont some places have visual inspections included with those also? i heard that in texas if they even a notice a exhaust is not OEM then you fail inspections regardless if you have a cat or not.
