I just got done installing my header and intake....I can really tell a difference, and so far no CEL. I also have the TRD exhaust and can't really notice any rasp with this header. I would really recommend this header and intake for anyone looking.

Yea it's funny because a friend of mine has a diesel truck with this brand intake and told me to look for the tc and they actually make one...after I bought it I think it was in modified magazine's hot products for the tc

 

cool, that god how your not having any rasp as you say with those headers and the trd exhaust. and the CEL with eventually turn on after a couple of days.

 

I've put about 100 miles on it and nothing yet so I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope the light doesn't come on.

 

Strup w/ jethot - for about a year now. Its good header.

I installed my strup headers last week and the CEL went on. Does anyone know how to fix that?

 

yes, you will need to buy a anti-fouler so it can go away if it works. search up anti-fouler and you will found out exactly what you will need to do for that trick.

 

^yup - you can get them from autozone ...they are spark plug anti-foulers ..... I used one large and one small ..... never had a cell once. Also - make sure you unplug your battery for 10min .... install the antifoulers ....then plug it back in ... let it run 10min ....then drive normal for 15min ....and you surely shouldn't get a cel

I even have the TRD exhaust and there is very little if any rasp at all.

 

all headers give out rasp ...some more then others .... just add 1 or 2 16-18" resonators and you are set. If i redo my midpipe ill put 2 new resonators back on

 

Well obviously that's what i meant. HARDLY RASP

 

^ dunno because i had one resonator and put the header on ...and i had some rasp ...then i put the second on and it sounded a lot cleaner ....now im looking to redo it again and get hopefully an even deeper sound

If you wanna make sure the headers stay that nice gold color, wear latex gloves when you install, or give them a nice wipe off before turning on the car the first time... The oil on your hands that transfers to the piping will turn blue...

 

yea I wore gloves the whole time plus once they were on the car I sprayed and wiped them down with cleaner.
