Default 1 more Supercharged tC(info on custom heat shield on pg.3)

So I finally got my S/C installed(it sat around for almost 6 months ):

I ran out of heat wrap, so thats as far as I got, a shop is going to make me a custom heat shield this week, so thats next. I have to say that I am very happy with the power this s/c gives, its just perfect for me, I've hit it a couple of times over the weekend and it left an evil grin on my face, he he....Has anybody noticed their temp needle dip down a bit, to like the mid line? mine has done it a couple of times, in cold weather thou, not during warmer climate, is this normal for s/c tC's? thanks.

BTW...yes I know I have to clean my engine bay

Yea the temp is normal. They installed the TRD thermostat. And congrats, you'll come to love it even more .

You said a shop was going to make you a custom heat shield? Did they say how much and what type of shop? Thanks.

Thanks for the info, its a shop that deals with nothing but turbo and s/c vehicles, he was not sure about the price, he will not know until he actually gets in there and makes me one, as soon as I have mine, I'll ask him and bout maybe making a few more(if people like them of course), how long have you had your header wrapped for? thanks.

Ice, I would wrap the header anyways. The heat that emmits off of them can dry the oil in the s/c rod and lead to problems. Not to mention the loss of power from the heatsoak. Thats the issue im dealing with now

Jet-Hot anyone? It's worth it. My Megan Header looks awesome after. And even after the S/C is installed, I don't think I should have that many problems with heat soak.

I have jethot - look at my profile pics for what it looks like. It was shiny when I first got it and now its silver ....it still looks good to me but too bad its not the way it was when I first got it. Jethot is good because they spray inside and outside
