Default ABS intermittent

Has anybody had their ABS sometimes work, sometimes not?
Sunday it was below zero here and I hit a patch of ice and went sailing, I didn't feel the rumble of the ABS kick on. Today also when I was first driving in a cold car it seemed to not kick on again on ice. Later after the car had warmed up it seemed to work.

Anybody else have ABS not work when really cold out?

O.T. My power garage door seemed to crap out on my during same very cold Sunday. It's still not working. Is it dead or will it function after it gets warmer. It's never done this before. It seems to have power just does not budge the chain, the door is not stuck, can move it by hand.

It was likely working, you just didn't feel it as much because the tires weren't gripping on the ice.
Scary stuff that ice.

Yeah it has power and does make a little noise when the switch is pressed, like it's trying to function, so I don't know....

might be burned out..try to disconnect the door from the opener all systems allow you to manually open the roor..open yours manually..
then try and hit your remote or door mounted garage door switch

if I were a betting man.,.I'd say you will need a new one

haha also make sure the garage door handle is not turned to the locked position, that would cause it not to open properly
