Default Redline Blue Fading Neon Underbody Kit

i saw one at best buy for about $180. it looks pretty sweet, i think it could be a great add on to my wonderful car! now, i have the blue LED interior lights, so i would assume the blue underbodies would match with it. what do you guys think? post your thoughts!

Edit: how is that the scion tc ground effects kit is like $1000, but you can find kits like this redline one for 1/5 of the price? is there a difference in quality, or what?

It's because they aren't the same thing. Ground effects are not ricey neon kits.

Ground effects are two different things depending on who you talk to.

They can either be a lip kit/body kit or a lighting kit that bolts under the vehicle.

The Scion ground effects is a lip kit that gives the vehicle a subtle sport look. You can find good cheap neon for your under body almost anywhere. Just look around if that is what you are looking for.

but what do you think about the redline one. will it look ricey or something, cuz i think it will look cool.

does not matter if it looks ricey to others. Mod to your own tastes. Who cares what others think. I do what I think looks good on my car.

I got mine the second week I got my car in July. Check my mine and see if you still want it. I got the lights for only $100 at Pep Boys, you can get 'em at Autozone or Advanced Auto store too. And someone did it for me for only $100 as well.

There were blue, red, green. and the ___ rainbow color one (god I wish nobody get that) I know what u're talking about Otacon88, but I kinda dislike that. I think it doenst look as good, I mean i've seen it on the street with other cars, but it's just not what I call "stylish" and TOO RICEY if you know what i mean. The one tone color neon is the best to me and I think it fits my car ( i always think blue goes with white/silver, red/green with black, etc.) But it's all depend on u my friend. (another reason y i like the one tone one is b/c i've NEVER seen the fading one on any race cars that i saw in my life, not even the ones from the movies.

Not bad looking at all! Really nice job on the lights. My only concern is, they may not last you very long because they're the 'bargain' models, but I could be wrong. If they break, try Streetglow... Lifetime warranty, but also more expensive.

How did you get it to come through the front grille like that?

nice pics v0lc0m185!
and miraclecreator, the neons i saw, the fading ones that move and all, there are 4 different patterns to those. and one of those patterns is the steady glow, the one as yours. so if i don't like the other types, i can just keep it on the steady, so it all works out.

uh... dunt mean to ruin your fantasy Octacon88, but the fading one u talked about and how it can stay at steady glow, I thought of that before too. But it's DIFFERENT. It's not what it seems, what u saw on the pic means ALL the LEDs will stay at a steady blink. Meaning they'll keep BLINKING, not the same.

but the one i'm planning on getting has a feature on there that said "Steady-On." does that not mean it will be a steady glow?!?!?!

Edit: if you check on any website with this underbody, you will see it says it has the steady-on feature plus 5 others. so i'm sure it has the steady on, and not the steady blinking.

Edit2: here is a description right off the site:

Description
Redline Fading Underbody LED Kit - The Fading Underbody Kits utilize a patented technology that allows the neon light to literally move inside of the tube. When the kit is set to any of the three "Fading " modes, light will begin at one end of the tube and then fill the entire tube with light. The tubes can fade to the beat of the music, the rev of the engine, or be set to continuously fade automatically. There is also the regular, "Steady-On" mode when you want constant light.

that is from http://www.sfxperformance.com/parts/RED4209.htm if you want to know.

all my friends tell me the underbodies are useless without a body kit or the such. do you really have to have a body kit, cuz i've seen many cars without body kits and they still look good with underbodies, such as miraclecreator's and v0lc0m85's cars.

Personally that is wwwwaaaaayyyyy too ricey. Especially with comments like (no offense meant) "i've NEVER seen the fading one on any race cars that i saw in my life, not even the ones from the movies."

Also keep in mind that in most states underbody neon is illegal.

Personally, I think underbody neons are the riciest thing you can put on a car, followed closely by vinyls and huge wings. I would suggest you do it by yourself and save some cash. Pick up lights online and just do the install yourself. You'll save yourself at least a $100 bucks. And one more thing. Could you some how not say lol in every post you make? Thanks and have a great day.
