View Full Version : Thanks SL for advice, still needs some more plz :D
ASHRAF 02-19-2008, 12:34 AM Hello there,
First of all, I wanna thank you all for letting me know that most of the wheels out there are not as good as I thought, but I still needs some help to decide on what set of wheels I'm ganna go with
The first wheel I was thinking about is the VOLK GTP
I didn't even consider these until I saw this  (ICrazyChrisI's tC)
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t320/icrazychrisi/Photoshoot/IMG_1210.jpg
The second one is the Racing Hart RS-721 Black

I'm more into the deep dish but I don't wanna lose quality or looks just to go deep
the car is my daily, and not ganna be in the track so often
I wanna see your recommendation guys, Plz help me out with this
I'm planning to go 19" with rolled fenders, what fittments, tyres, and distributer would you recommend going through
I did do some research, I just need some more help
Thanks in advance
-Ashraf
nebster 02-19-2008, 12:42 AM volks..... no question
as far as the 19's, how aggressive do you want to go and how much do you want to spend.
ASHRAF 02-19-2008, 01:27 AM if i would go with volks, i'll probably go with 17's or 18's
19's for the deep dish models such as the racingharts, or if you have any other suggestions
I don't have a problem spending the extra buck if I know for sure it's worth it, I don't wanna go up to 6k, but I would like to get a good set for agood price for sure, no set margins
nebster 02-19-2008, 01:30 AM i'd honestly go with 18" gtp's, honestly unless you go completely custom you'll be disapointed with the lip. plus i really like the volks and really hate the Racing harts lol
ASHRAF 02-19-2008, 01:34 AM I'm ganna get a kami kit + kami CF hood + coil-overs
I don't know what will be the best way to go with that to get the best look
I think black with a lip and sitting flush would look real nice
what's you opinion
BTW nebstar, awesome tC, I'll be waiting for the pics to be released
nebster 02-19-2008, 01:41 AM with that look i'd go for the racing harts.
19x8 front et +35 and 19x9 rear et+40 would be the best i think. should be pretty sharp.
lil_will 02-19-2008, 01:44 AM Racing Harts! :lalala:
ASHRAF 02-19-2008, 01:45 AM Thanks bro, that's what I was thinking as well
I'll check the fitments and see what would look the best
any suggestions are welcome
ASHRAF 02-19-2008, 01:46 AM Thanks lil_will
didn't see your post :D
SciontCya 02-19-2008, 01:48 AM Racing Harts! :lalala:
x2
Not a fan of the Volks - they look flat to me, no depth.
Just my opinion, no Volk riders needs to feel flamed.
ASHRAF 02-19-2008, 03:12 AM I think the racingharts will look way better with the kit as well, the volks looks awesome on a tucked stock tC, just like the one in the pic
lil_will 02-19-2008, 03:16 AM Dont know if this will help or not...

ASHRAF 02-19-2008, 03:40 AM the old racingharts are awesome, but the design is lil' old
SciontCya  that's an awesome wheel
SciontCya 02-19-2008, 03:42 AM ^^ Yeah, I think so too.
Kinda like my HP Evos, but I'm thinking about these...the "mercury" chrome is awesome looking.
Might move to a 19x9
ASHRAF 02-19-2008, 03:45 AM what kind of volks are those?
SciontCya 02-19-2008, 03:48 AM Volk Racing Wheels - SF-Winning (RMC)
ASHRAF 02-20-2008, 09:47 AM The racingharts are not available in 5*100
any other suggestions???
davedavetC 02-21-2008, 02:44 AM yea dont get the volks :P
CRUZtc8 02-21-2008, 03:55 AM how about this DPE wheel
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b225/goalsnine/DPE.jpg
ASHRAF 02-21-2008, 10:17 PM that in 19" would look doope
what rim is it? and what's is the price on that :D
nebster 02-21-2008, 10:44 PM dpe's run 4000-4500 for a set of 4 with custom gold like that.
CRUZtc8 02-21-2008, 11:35 PM that in 19" would look doope
what rim is it? and what's is the price on that :D
DPE S20 and yea they run around 4000-5000
ASHRAF 02-22-2008, 04:53 AM that's a lil' bit too much for me for now as i'm planning to boost my baby
but probably one day i'll have those on my car (I wish) :D
any other suggestion?
looking to get good wheels, and save some money for the coil-overs & the turbo kit
nebster 02-22-2008, 05:00 AM that's a lil' bit too much for me for now as i'm planning to boost my baby

looking to get good wheels, and save some money for the coil-overs & the turbo kit
work 1 pieces (emotion series) are good wheels
ASHRAF 02-22-2008, 05:05 AM they are nice but i'm trying to push it to the maximum
i want the polished/chrome lip look
I'm looking at used ones in very good condition as well, andtrying to keep the package price with good rubber under $3500
nebster 02-22-2008, 05:12 AM so with good rubber under 3500. anticipate 800 for good tires, 100 for mounting and 150 for good lugs which leaves you with just under 2000 for rims not including shipping.
check out volks for that price
ASHRAF 02-22-2008, 05:19 AM that will leave me with around $2500 for wheels alone
and i'll pay the extra shipping
I'll check the volks
Thank you nebster
nebster 02-22-2008, 05:58 AM check out these too
http://www.hdautoart.com/aaTHEWHEELS.htm
i used to run them. GREAT wheels.
ASHRAF 02-22-2008, 06:05 AM I love the VY
I think i'm ganna be running them pretty soon
Q: SW tc W/ smoked tails, CF hood, and CF lip spoiler
will you go for black wheels to keep the white/black look, or get gold wheels to stand out more, i'm really confused
 thank you nebster for taking the time to help me out, I appreciate it
nebster 02-22-2008, 06:14 AM those will probably run you a bit over 3500 but you can see if you can get a deal on tires with them. i'd go with black personally. i think gold is getting overdone now.
ICrazyChrisI 02-22-2008, 10:19 AM so with good rubber under 3500. anticipate 800 for good tires, 100 for mounting and 150 for good lugs which leaves you with just under 2000 for rims not including shipping.
check out volks for that price
Or get mine for $1400 shipped.. with Yokohama Parada Spec 2, and Rays Engineering Lugnuts :P
nebster 02-22-2008, 12:58 PM didn't you JUST get those or are you talking about the same ones you have
1_kLEan_tC 02-22-2008, 02:04 PM I would rock gold......but those VY are nice....
If your going to drop like 2k and 3k on rims...look @ work wheels..those are nice and have many different styles.... or go with SSR SP-1 those will cost like 2100..
[/quote]
nebster 02-22-2008, 02:07 PM VY's are in gold and they're freaking sweet i had the vyc's and i loved them, some of my favorite wheels i've had
davedavetC 02-22-2008, 02:08 PM so with good rubber under 3500. anticipate 800 for good tires, 100 for mounting and 150 for good lugs which leaves you with just under 2000 for rims not including shipping.

Hat_Trick_Hokie 02-22-2008, 02:31 PM I think the AUTOart wheels look sick (esp. the Porsche Carrera GT knockoffs, haha).
I still like gold wheels on a SW myself. But on the VY, the gunmetal looks like a very close 2nd in my book.
