Am I the only person that hates their car?
I don't mean to offend anyone. Honestly I don't. I'm just wondering if I'm the only one that feels this way. Every time I crawl into that little thing I get sick to my stomach and have to beat away feelings of self loathing with a stick. The only upside to the car so far is the magnificently low payment. A mere 240USD a month. I just hate everything about the car. I can't even sell it. I've only had it a month and I'm already trying to ditch the thing by any means possible. The only reason I got the car is because I have no credit and they're the only ones that could help me. I really mean no offense to the car makers or other owners. I can honestly say this is the first time in my life that I'd rather sit at home and do nothing if I can avoid driving my car. Am I the only one in this situation? Anyone else feeling my pain here?
You are the only person I have heard talk about their Scion with such "loathing" (self or otherwise). I absolutely love my RS1 and every time I see it I am happy that I own it, and every time I drive it I am convinced it is the best purchase I have ever made.
If you are that unhappy with your Scion, you should trade it for a Civic and be part of the "me too" crowd.

Okay wait....I would seriously like to know why you don't like your car. I currently have my truck up for sale and I'm planning to replace it with an xA as soon as it sells. Are there specific things about your Scion that you don't like, or is it more of a "it's just not what I'd rather have" kinda thing? If there are specific things that you don't like, please list them here.
I don't have any idea what you are talking about. I park my car outside my window, so I can look at it all day and smile... Are there specific items or complaints you have about the car, or just whining in general? If you have specifics, we can try to help you.
I must say, you are definately in the minority.
I can't say that I "Love" my xA RS 1.0, but this is the first car that I have ever had that puts a smile on my face every time I get in it. Sure there are things I would change about it, but it's such a fun car I can put up with it's few short falls.
I am curious as well to what you don't like about it. I also find it very hard to believe that Scion/Toyota is the only company that would work with you. Every auto manufacturer would work with you and you could have easily beat the 240.00 a month you are paying for it had you gone with a Kia, Hyundi or other car on the low end of the scale.

You are not the first, but those people, they DON'T drive a SCION!!!!!!
I am very satisfied with my xA. Like xA RS ChickLA said, though, there are plenty of folks who don't like them. I've had people stop me at the grocery store and the post office and tell me how much they like it, and I've had folks tell me how much they hate it, as well. The important part is that I'm happy with it. It just sounds to me like you bought your Scion for the wrong reason.
In your other post you speak of owning a TT, are you trying to compare the two? Cuz they aren't really in the same class you know. What is it you're wanting from the xA?
If it makes you sick and full of self-loathing whenever you get in it, you must LOVE that feeling cuz now you're fretting over it when you're not driving and posting it up here to perpetuate the feeling. Most people are here because the like their cars and are improving and personalizing them.
Anyway, It's just a car, what kind of self validation are you looking to get from it?

KiL
My question is you said you have no credit, and wouldn't it be easier to get a domestic vehicle instead? I have heard many with little to no credit had success getting a loan with domestic cars. If you hated the xA so much, why can't you buy a cheap beater and save up until you can afford a better looking car (according to your preference, of course)?

Only complaint I have is maybe the car is a little underpowered but with all the bolt-ons like intake, exhaust, etc.. i'm sure it'll be decently quick!
You obviously have no clue about buying cars or you're just a troll stirring thing up. There are plenty of credit companies that finance you and there are tons of other cars you could have bought.
You self loathing is your punishment for being stupid and buying the wrong car for you.
Oh, and BTW I LOVE my xA RS! I traded in my RX8 for it. That probably makes you sick (I hope). :D

no offense, honest, but how could you buy something you hate? I mean, you should have looked into your purchase a bit more before making a committment. . . again, I'm not trying to offend you, but it really reflects on you as a person and your capability to make decisions, if you spend that kind of money without doing some good research/thinking first. And if is the only car you can afford, the best that you can afford, or both, then you shouldn't gripe. Perhaps you need to look into improving your credit/income as to afford what you want.
This kind of thing goes for all things in life. . . if you are unhappy, it is usually because you have settled for something less than what you originally wanted. Never settle and never stop until you get what you want. Some people are perfectly happy with these cars. . . some aren't. That's why America utilizes a free market system. And apparently, Scion is doing very well and his here to stay. Apparently, most of the consumers out there love Scion; and the sales figures prove it.
