Default Satellite Radio

Has anyone signed up for the satellite radio with their new tc? I just got my new Flint Mica this past weekend. Wondered what the charges were and if it's worth it.
Having black Italian leather put in next week! Yeah

I just got it and I love it. Its only $10 a month and I havn't used my cd player since I got it. If you are like me and never really listen to mainstream radio than it is definitly a good idea.

Default sirius rocks

I had Sirius in my previous car (a 2004 Camry) and couldn't imagine not having it again. I got a portable unit (the Audiovox PNP2) that I can use in my car AND house and LOVE it. I agree about never really using the CD player much once you have it installed.

It's especially important to me that I have Sirius since Howard Stern is moving to Sirius starting the beginning of 2006. So what - I'm a little early!

I'm sure either service is great though compared to the state of today's HORRIBLE FM radio stations. DEATH TO CLEAR CHANNEL!

i have friends that have them and they're great...i'd buy one if they would design an antenna that wasn't just a hump on the outside the car...probably wouldn't be too noticeable on your flint mica though...

I opted for the XM option and I love it...susbsequently I am getting $250 back from Scion because they are offering XM at a lower price than when I bought it.

I had the XM Roady in my previous car and now I can't live w/o it.

yeah I was looking at either getting the XM Roady 2 which uses an FM modulator or buying the Scion XM satellite receiver kit and installing it myself to save money. Has anyone done this? How hard is it? I figure plugging in the back of the stereo and mounting the antenna can't be that hard, but routing the wiring through the car could be a pain. Well on the other hand if i get the Roady 2 then I can use it in whatever car I'm in.

I've heard that the XM radio they sell is just a reciever and antenna... the wiring and all is already run... anyone know if there is a cheaper aftermarket unit that will work?

I'd assume it's similar to installing the sub. It's really not that hard. You've got to take out a lot of pieces, but about 90% of them just pull out and if you get it from mcgeorge or something, it should come with the whole installation manual. If you're not afraid to do things like pull the seats out of your car (did you know the back seat just... pops out?) you can do it. Installation probably runs a pretty penny on that, so you can save a good bit of money. The hardest part of the sub install was bolting the enclosure onto the wall of the trunk, and you wouldn't have to do that for the satellite install.

The Scion kit was retarded-expensive. I'd gladly sweat the time it would take to install it myself. Although I definately DONT want a Delphi unit. At least i dont want to SEE it. I want to be able to control it through the factory stereo.
Do you know if any pioneer sat. radio reciever/antenna combo will work with the factory Pioneer radio?

here's one i found:
