I've got a twin turbo'd 514 cubic inch big block with a 500 shot on NAWWWSSS feeding 2 Holley 850 cfm double pumpers! Right now it runs 5's, but after I install the jet engine, it should push 3's, maybe even 2's. It's the world's quickest and fastest Scion! HAHAHAHAHHAA! allblackxb 09-26-2003, 01:58 AM A v8 in a Scion would be awsome. i am for sure when i get some money am gonna make it rwd with a v8. I have ideas how to make it work. noics 09-26-2003, 06:08 AM A v8 in a Scion would be awsome. i am for sure when i get some money am gonna make it rwd with a v8. I have ideas how to make it work. yeah, buy a wrecked GS430 and a sawzall...oh yeah-duct tape, lots of duct tape...maybe some jb weld...and a case of bud light...that outta do it. izzles 09-28-2003, 11:28 PM Ken you are to much I am sure you and Shiv are working on something.....any new mods other than the suspension and badges... Zero 09-28-2003, 11:41 PM you know you want a 1zz-fe...itll make your scions mad fast y0! hehe j/p http://www.scionlife.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif ScionVan 09-29-2003, 09:30 AM any new mods other than the suspension and badges... ouch! Not sure if that was a little fun jab or a real inquiry! >HAHA< I think people are too obsessed with swapping engines into every single car out there. Sometimes the engine that already comes in a car isn't as bad as you'd think... you just gotta find the best way to eke the most power out of what you've got. Chances are you'll end up making more power for LESS money and headaches than if you'd gone with an unproven swap. eric_m 09-29-2003, 06:33 PM you are right van. i'd also like to add that even though it's fun to talk about what you could do to your car, realize that 99.9999% of the people who talk about swapping engines and doing all these crazy mods don't really do anything of the sort. it seems like most of the people doing the really crazy stuff aren't even talking about it...they're too busy actually doing it. MadSciontist 09-30-2003, 06:13 PM but it is still intresting to know what you can squeeze into such a lil car. In some cases the engine can way more than the original frame of the car. NCP31 10-02-2003, 01:41 AM any new mods other than the suspension and badges... ouch! Not sure if that was a little fun jab or a real inquiry! >HAHA< Nice one Van, I didn't even catch that one the first time. I just find it laughable that anyone would hack up a new xB to try to fit a V8 or inline 6. To me it's just a commute car. Don't get me wrong, I love my little "midget hearse", but if I want to have fun I'll drive my AE86. If I want to go fast, I'll drive Shiv's Evo. If I were to do an engine swap, I'd choose the 2ZZ-FE with 180hp, 6spd and reasonable chance of being smog legal. Shiv and I have something in the works that should be quite surprising. 8) ps. I did get a JIC muffler. Guess what? It's still slow! |
