Well, Shirley and I flew down to SoCal last Fri. for the Nascar race in Fontana. We met a few Scion owners while we were there. Larry (maxivisvires), Evelyn (pixiedixie862), Alex (FNslow), and Rob (teabox), we went out to dinner and talked about cars and everything else, had a good time. Larry picked us up at the airport and and took us back on Monday. We ended up spending more time on the bus than in the stands as it rained out the Nationwide race on Sat. and was raining when we got the the track on Sunday. Did get the see the truck race on Sat. and 87 laps of the Cup race on Sun. before it started raining again at 6pm, then we ended up sitting on the bus until 11pm when they decided to call the race. The track is in an industrial area and they have no noise ordinance. We were prisoners at the track, only way to leave was to pay $100 for a cab ride back to the motel. Did get a few good pics, here they are, enjoy...

that race was good until the rain came. It suck what happened to jr. Sorry I was unable to meet a fellow scion owner while I was there

 

Cynce, yes, we talked about you and your car, lol. Michael, I was so tired of seeing #88 jackets and hats that I started to hate the number, lol, I'd say 65% of all merchendise sales were Dale Jr. items, unreal. Wish I had known another SL'r was going to be there. Did see a nice bB badged box at Tokyo Wako Sat. night, think it was maroon w/CF hood and rear spoiler.

 

At least you saw some crashes, isn't that supposed to be the best part of Nascar? hehe

 

^Not proper language Tu, you're supposed to say, " At least ya'll got to see some crashes..." see the difference.

Yeah, but most of them happened coming out of turn 2 and we were sitting just off turn 4. The shot of Mears and Hornishes cars is zoomed all the way out and cropped heavily, but it was cool, wish it had happened in front of us though, lol.
