Default How to pause the premium CD player?

First, I'm a new 2008 xB owner. I love this car.

Second, I can't find a pause button on the premium CD player. It seems to have plenty of buttons, but none of them will pause a CD. The manual doesn't mention that capability at all. Am I missing something? If not, why no pause?

All you can really do is turn it off or mute it.

The way I work around it is I just press the mode button on the steering wheel for a couple seconds until the whole radio shuts off. Press the button again to turn it back on.

I'm doing that, too, it just seems lame that there is no pause. I can pause every other CD player I own, every DVD player, DVR, VCR, YouTube video, even my Sirius radio, but not the CD player in my car? I thought pause was an established standard.

you could just hit the "mode" button ^ switch to either IPOD or Tuner (exit the CD Player).. then, when you "MODE" back to the CD, it will pick up right where you left off... No need to turn it completely off, just exit to another mode... jh
