Default Should i Turbo the Tc with 108k..

Whats up guys. So i am a junior in highschool and my love and experience for cars is way past my age.. i was recently given an 06 Scion Tc 5spd by my parents who had is from day 1. unfortunately my mom drives a lot and was able to rack up 108k miles on it. Just for yal to know is is an awesome car and has never had been to the dealership for problems. all i have done myself routinely is oil changes, brakes, spark plugs, and air filter. With my genius idea and some generosity from dad i have decided that i wanted to go with a turbo kit like, TurboToyotas. I have done research and many have told me miles means nothing. They just said to take it to dealership and make sure compression test is good. So what i am thinking about doing is taking it in for a complete tune up. What do yal think about the turbo.... do any of yal have more miles than this.

Turbo should be fine. Make sure the compression test is good, and you could even do a leak-down test.

We have a customer with over 60k turbo charged miles on our kit and her engine. It still runs great to this day.

Yea warranties are way over. lol.. But i have some questions

If you turbo a tc and have a downpipe with a custom 2.5 inch back exhaust. Where is your cats at. Do you need cats or could you buy a high flow cat and have the exhaust shop weld it in for you and then have them weld a spot for o2 bung. bc you have to have at least one o2 sensor or else CEL right. What yal think

Tune up first, than rebuild motor than turbo.

Well even if you get a cat in the downpipe like dezod sells, you may still get a CEL unless you tune with the AEM F/IC (or get a standalone such as hydra or AEM). The reason being is that if your fuel trim are too out of whack, you will through a code anyway. If tuned properly, you can trick the car into thinking it as stoich since it is the only piggy back to control the outputs from the pcm whereas the other piggy backs only alter the values going into the pcm and the pcm can sometimes change the values (not good!). In other words, you can get your fuel trims at or real close to zero with the f/ic (which means no light) and from my understanding, TT's spipe has a bung to fool the post o2 by only alowing a certain amount of air to pass through it for it to read (which will keep the pcm from throwing a CAT efficiency code).

The negative side to it is its brand new and a lot of tuners do not have experience with it.

Oh and boost it!!! Just do a compression test or leak down test just to make sure but you shouldn't have anything to worry about since it is a yota motor.
