View Full Version : Clear Corner Headlights
Itsdchz 01-09-2004, 08:49 AM Tonight I cleared my corners on the xB.
I used the crush reflector method.
Took 2 hours INCLUDING wiring in my light up Grill Emblem.
No hangups, easy, easy easy.
I have 38 pics in all, I will post a few here, but go to this link for a complete picture sequence of events.
http://www.sfbavw.net/gallery/Scion
You will need to remove Grill:
There are 3 pop up plastic pressure snap style fasteners. simply pry inner circle up, using a thin flathead screwdriver, and then pull plastic screws out. Lift Grill straight up. VIOLA, your done.
Remove Bumper
The Bumper Consists of 2 - 10mm Bolts, under where grill was, and 1 more plastic pop up pressure fasteners. Remove all 3.
http://www.scionlife.com/tech/images/clear_corners_xb/DSC01113.jpg
There are 2 -10mm bolt on each side of the fender wheel well, that are right next to each other. You will only need to remove the bolt closest to the ground, this one is attached to the bumper, the upper one is attached to the fender. Repeat on each side.
http://www.scionlife.com/tech/images/clear_corners_xb/DSC01111.jpg
http://www.scionlife.com/tech/images/clear_corners_xb/DSC01115.jpg
Now you will have 8 more 10mm bolts on the undercarriage of the car. Remove all 8. There is 1 Each Side just at the bottom of the fender well, and 6 more from the outside in.

http://www.scionlife.com/tech/images/clear_corners_xb/DSC01117.jpg
Once you have bumper bolts all off, you can either pull the bumper off all the way and set somewhere. ALWAYS lay FACE DOWN on a SOFT BLANKET or TOWEL, make sure the Soft Article is BIG ENOUGH to extend the whole length and width of the bumper.
OR you can simply let the bumper hang on the bumper rebar, as you only need to pull it out about 3 inches total.

http://www.scionlife.com/tech/images/clear_corners_xb/DSC01114.jpg
Remove The Headlight Housings
There are 4 -10mm bolts for each light housing, unbolt them. wiggle light housing loose, and once you have it away from the bumper Pull Headlight Bulb harness off, and Twist Blinker light out
http://www.scionlife.com/tech/images/clear_corners_xb/DSC01112.jpg
http://www.scionlife.com/tech/images/clear_corners_xb/DSC01126.jpg
Break The Amber Reflector Out
Set light down, take a look. You will notice the amber reflector inside is just a thin sheet of plastic.
http://www.scionlife.com/tech/images/clear_corners_xb/DSC01118.jpg
Simply take a longer, thin flathead screwdriver, insert it into the Blinker hole.
http://www.scionlife.com/tech/images/clear_corners_xb/DSC01119.jpg
http://www.scionlife.com/tech/images/clear_corners_xb/DSC01122.jpg
The ridges on the inside of the amber reflector allow you to rest the flathead screwdriver firmly on it without it slipping into the housing. Firmly rest flathead in about the middle of the amber reflector. Take a hammer and tap it, relatively hard until the inner pieces shatter. You will guage how much force to use after you experimaent hitting it too soft.
Now take a look, it should be cracked into a few pieces.
http://www.scionlife.com/tech/images/clear_corners_xb/DSC01120.jpg
http://www.scionlife.com/tech/images/clear_corners_xb/DSC01121.jpg
The littler pieces will fall out of the hole easily, if you have bigger peices simply take needle nose cutters, or in my case tin snips with thin long noses, and cut the remaining bigger pieces smaller until they all come out. You will notice when you try to cut bigger pieces it tends to shatter as you cut, making it easier to get pieces out.
Shake all the pieces out. Use a can of air for computers and electronics to make sure you jar all the small pieces loose, and shake out.
After you have all the small particles out, wrap some tissue on the end of your flathead screwdriver, and tape it on. Use the tissue to clean out all the microscopic pieces on the inside of the hosuing thoroughly!! This will help ensure a CLEAN inside housing.
You are done with your first light. Repeat for your second light. Reinstall Housing, being sure to hook up turn signals, and Light Harness.
Now on my lights I kept the Stock Amber Bulbs for right now. I will be getting some daydium style silver coated bulbs soon, that illuminate Amber. That way when the lights are off, you dont get the amber glare from the bulb as seen in my pics.
Reinstall Bumper, Be sure to pay attention to what bolts go where, some are different lengths, etc.
Reinstall Grill. You are done!

Great how to!! I'm going to have to try that pretty soon!! I think I like this method better than the oven. With my luck I'd have a turkey instead of a headlight come out of it.
UrbanDrum 01-09-2004, 04:10 PM Nice....How much are those daydium bulbs and where can I get them?

I have some here, I will send them home with your mom when she leaves...

tintsem 01-09-2004, 04:21 PM Becareful, the chrome on the inside of the light scratches easily. Mine did!
Itsdchz 01-09-2004, 04:34 PM Yes the chrome does scratch easy, mine did as well, but you really dont see it when you are standing in front of the car very rarely is someone going to stick their head into your light.
Inazuma 01-09-2004, 04:36 PM Great HOW TO Itsdchz
I did exactly the same thing a few weeks ago. I also did the same thing with the towel wrapped around the screwdriver. hehe u read my mind, or u been watching me.
I wanted to do a HOW TO but it was late and was too lazy. I am happy at least someone else did. I keep getting PMs from people asking my method. But now i will just link to this thread. I think i will put a link to your site on my site..
I am not a big fan on the oven method.
I bought my CHROMAX (amber) bulbs at AUTO INDULGENCE in Lomita $10 each but well spent. Looks awesome..
Thanks
Inazuma 01-09-2004, 04:38 PM Becareful, the chrome on the inside of the light scratches easily. Mine did!
Yeah i noticed i had a hairline scratch when i first started. So i took it real easy on the rest of the time i worked on it. Actually it took me longer to do my clears than to lower my car. :D
UrbanDrum 01-09-2004, 04:39 PM very rarely is someone going to stick their head into you
Hey...That's what I told Docs mom too :P I did her a favor once...8)

Where is Lomita?
Docsnuff 01-09-2004, 04:42 PM I dont know what you are talking about!!!
Doc
Itsdchz 01-09-2004, 05:02 PM Funny guys.
Thanks for the Props Inazuma, not a prob to link to this thread and my site :)
I will be going to get the chromax bulbs today.
UrbanDrum 01-09-2004, 05:15 PM I dont know what you are talking about!!!
You're what I'm talking about  She hasn't told you yet? I'm the guy that's been sending those child support checks all these years
Itsdchz, Is there anything negative about clearing your corners? Legally or visually(at night)?
Inazuma 01-09-2004, 05:15 PM I bought my CHROMAX (amber) bulbs at AUTO INDULGENCE in Lomita $10 each

Nice....Not too far. Thanks
Docofmind 01-09-2004, 05:33 PM Great write up. Thanks :)
c_dog 01-10-2004, 12:53 AM Hey thanks guys for the help. Prior to the nice instructions provided by Itsdchz I went off of the info from Inazuma (which was good enough). It's really difficult to figure out how to take off the bumper w/out the help/assitance (that Itsdchz provided) but the reflector was easy to break out. One was more difficult than the other and I have to admit I was worried about switching to the oven method but I was patient and it paid off. All that's holding those little pieces of poo was two little tabs.

Yeah and those 2 tabs were a _____ to get out. But after the first was out the second was easier..eh?
Glad to help
DJ_SpaRky 01-11-2004, 01:23 AM Great How-to, Thanks a lot. This is gonna be a must for the do-to list.
izzles 01-11-2004, 01:36 AM Great instructions......Looks Great
c_dog 01-12-2004, 04:33 PM [bgcolor=red] Yeah and those 2 tabs were a _____ to get out. But after the first was out the second was easier..eh?
Glad to help
-Inazuma
Yup the second was easier. I was having some trouble with the first so before I was even done I started on the second one. When I realized that it was just two tab's holding the second one on, I went back to the first and man handled that shizznit.
I just remembered something that was listed above on how to take the bumper off. There are these two pain in the ___ tabs that connect the bumper to just under the headlights on both sides (one on each side). Once I took all of the bolts off these were the only two things holding it in place.

MIKEY 01-12-2004, 05:31 PM I just cleared mine too, But I used the oven method. I think that it works great. This hammer hitting stuff seems a little crazy. I will probably take you the same amount of time to put the thing in the oven, as it does to chip that stuff out!!! And teh oven method is really easy!

It probably is easier, but i was concerned with leakage and maybe lens discoloration in the future.
I took my time and patience (which i normally don't have) and did it 100% without scratches.. I recommend the hammer method.
Itsdchz did and excellent job on the "how to" exactly how i did it a few months ago.
Just my 2 cents.
mmize1 06-25-2004, 08:55 PM Where did you get the light up grill emblem?
Great job. Where were you two weeks ago when I did mine. I switched my blulbs to blue. When they are sitting and turned off it shows blue, when I turn on the turn signals and they flash they flash white. Does anybody know positively if this is legal or not. It looke totaly cool but if it an invitation to a ticket I may switch to the bulbs talked about above that are clear and flash amber. Thx
JDMBLKbB 06-30-2004, 04:59 PM i just cleared mine yesterday and it was a battle. it would break but little pieces where the lens clips in and are almost unreachable. one headlight is kinda scratched up. anything you can do to possibly get rid of scratches inside?? i figured i'd just smoke the turn signal to help hide the scratches.
ben
DanHasxB 07-13-2004, 06:42 PM Where do you have the link to the emblem light up? My bro is about to get an xB and I wanna show him some cool ideas to do that won't set him behind while he makes car payments and saves up for wheels. Thanks.
I like your tech on the clear corners, I'll have to show him that one too. Came out looking really nice.
spooktacular 07-23-2004, 03:26 PM the orange reflectors, do they clip into the housing? and if so, after breaking them is it possible that the places where they are clipped in will be broken off inside the housing and be stuck there? i may have worded my question terribly but im sure someone will understand what i am talking about.
BrockAbabba 07-24-2004, 01:05 AM I found a great site with fast shipping for bulbs
http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/bu1127e.html
Hope it helps.
Where did you get the light up emblem. Man I am brand new to all of this mod stuff, where are you guys finding all these parts and things?
supitsmark 08-17-2004, 10:31 AM i thought i read somewhere that someone bought chrome bulbs that light up amber when the turn signal is on. is this true?
BrockAbabba 08-17-2004, 02:38 PM I bought from these folks. $7 each. I tried high quality LED's as well with led's placed around the perimeter of the bulb as well as facing out, but they didn't get as bright as these bulbs (MFG name is ADJURE)

supitsmark 08-19-2004, 10:54 PM are those the stock headlight bulbs? or did you replace them too?
BrockAbabba 08-20-2004, 03:56 AM They are stock. Siverstars on the way.
naoki 08-20-2004, 04:03 AM Are cleared corners legal?
...or legal only if you have the aformentioned amber bulbs?
BrockAbabba 08-21-2004, 05:09 AM Not legal, not in Pennsylvania. Regardless of bulb, the lack of reflector gave one cop an absolute hard on. If I leave a regular bulb, I can't imagine a cop noticing. He (the cop visiting my neighbor) didn't notice my front bulbs until the illegality of my rear lights piqued his interest.
I just walked away from the dick. He was dead wrong on a few points he tried to make and he wasn't in his uniform. If you are standing in my yard, you really should relax a little. HE FREAKED!!!
Moral of the story, not legal.....in PA
Sparks05 09-10-2004, 08:26 PM I know have my first "little" mod in mind when I get my Xb. Thanks!!!
hotbox05 09-22-2004, 04:55 PM anyone try doing this with a cloth wrapped around the screwdriver while hitting it with the hammer. cuz i would think the cloth would stop alot of the scratches... any thoughs cuz i really dont wanna scratch mine. and no matter what i ever do no matter how slow and easily i do it i always mess somethin up
hotbox05 09-22-2004, 05:00 PM those front bulbs can be legal if they illuminate amber or white , not blue , and front turn signals do not need reflectors in ca but rear reflector are required in every state i believe.
Soon2BxB 09-26-2004, 02:36 AM figured i would post how i removed mine ;) ...
i have my headlights open for my hid projector retrofit projector and the amber reflector is merely help in with 2 clips :)

Sorry .. i mean HID PROJECTOR RETROFIT
hotbox05 09-28-2004, 11:04 AM so how do you do the oven method is there a thread on that .
LowProMofo 09-28-2004, 01:08 PM I used the oven method on my truck's headlights. You just need to heat up and loosen the silicon around the headlght and pry apart. You may be able to get them open without using the oven too. Here's a link on how to do it. It's for a truck but it's the same process though: http://www.fbody.com/members/spookfest/headlightmod.htm
higgins0060 10-01-2004, 04:32 PM I know more than jack but less that $hit about cars and I was able to clear my corners. Great tech 'How to.' The amber clips were anal though. It took forever to bust them and then the clips got stuck it. You have to hit em hard and get them to shatter with one hit.
I'll have to take up LowProMofo on the oven method next time.
Thanks for all the tech help for those of us that aren't the most knowledegable.
joe216 01-21-2005, 04:32 AM how can i get that lighted logo for my grille???? that's awesome

This is where I got mine. Make sure you change the drop down menu to amber instead of superwhite. It finishes off the cleared-out headlight look.

lanegra 02-11-2005, 05:25 PM nice expl but where did you get the lighted scion, i want one....
Biggie_Shorty 02-13-2005, 10:03 PM ttt, this info is excellent, I just did mine in about an hour and a half.
Toasty_Bread 02-17-2005, 07:45 AM Took me 2 hours (that includes and episode of the simpsons as a break) and now i have clear corners. The difference is rediculous, it looks like a whole new car! I put green running lights and turn signals in and it looks totally custom, and it only costed me about $10 .:Sweet:.
Ericsilentbob 02-26-2005, 08:34 PM tight
jcway212 02-27-2005, 12:55 AM I just finished mine, i scraped the inside alot on one side i had a hard time getting the reflector out :( but anyways it looks really really good! Thanks for the how to!
tallguy4u2luv 02-28-2005, 01:30 PM Just Finished the job over the weekend....scratched the daylights out of one side but you really can't see the scratches on the inside unless you look really hard...the outside of the light is angled so that the eye is not able to focus on the inside. I bought some clear lights made by Sylvania at PEP BOYS...after the install they look like about 10 different colors depending on how the light hits them.
rhinonabox 03-08-2005, 04:13 PM Ok.... So far, these two sites have been mentioned for the chrome bulbs that light up amber. Anyone know which number we need for the xb?

Thanks for the awesome write up  I did mine today and it was really easy except for one day piece that I had trouble getting out. I eventually did though and it looks badass. Sorry for the quality of pics. I'm running Lumincs UV H4 headlights and Sylvanvia Silvestar 1157 Corners. 8)
wingshelpmefly 04-13-2005, 01:00 AM how did you manage to get the part thats like wedged down in the light holding it in? I can't seem to get it all out...
mpflies2 04-27-2005, 04:37 AM ya, same here, i can't figure how to get the pieces out of that groove. The light causes it to refract all throughout the encasing. Doesn't look too hot. Also have moisture in my driver side one, though it started raining when i was putting them back on. Will this likely go away? I may just buy projectors.
higgins0060 04-29-2005, 01:13 AM The Projectors are awesome. Plus www.scionsport.com has some and they are cheaper than when I bought them.
The last of the amber lens is a biotch to get out I had to use a needle nose pliers to get mine out. A little patience and a lot of manuevering and you should be able to get them out.
mpflies2 04-29-2005, 11:10 PM Well, i ordered the anzo projectors. hope they look good. I'll prolly try to get the extra reflector pieces out of the groove even though im not using the lights anymore. Never know, might wanna reinstall them one day. problem is though, i really dont have anything to pry out. its broken off down in the crevase with very very little sticking out to get leverage from. Oh well, we'll see.
xclusiveXb 07-15-2005, 03:24 PM I did what you said to do not there are peaces still stuck in there how do i get them out there on top and bottom were i cant get a screw driver in there well let me know thanks
higgins0060 07-18-2005, 02:35 AM Depending on how the amber glass shatters it might be impossible to get all the pieces out. I had a helva time trying to pry the little suckers out. I suggest finding a thin flat head screw driver and a few hours and going to town. Just don't scratch the inner lense because it won't be worth the time and effort if its all scratched up.
kewlbox 09-03-2005, 10:02 PM I just got done doing mine. I used an awl instead of a screwdriver, worked out really good. Broke apart in four pieces.
Now all i have to do is buy different bulbs.
TheDanger 09-07-2005, 05:29 PM I did mine last year and put in silverstar bulbs. Gives it a great look.

All you need is an 1157 that is silver. They have them at most every store, including Wal-Mart, and even Meijer (for you other Midwesterners)
KrAzY-ScionCE 10-29-2005, 05:25 AM Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. The 1157 is one of the most popular dual fillament bulbs out there. They are used on almost every ford that I know of. I have found blue ones at walmart for 4 bucks. They are blue when they are off and white when they are lit.
evilBOXevil 11-16-2005, 04:37 PM I did this headlight clearcorner thingy yesterday. Took about an hour. The hardest part is definitely getting all of the busted pieces of reflector out, but I was too scared of the oven method- and I know the silicone seal would get all gummy and stringy when heated. ...Anyways they sell amber glow bulbs that look silver when not on at pepboys. They're made by APC- called "titanium" size 1157, and they're $6.99 each.
KrAzY-ScionCE 11-16-2005, 11:02 PM Thanks for the info. I need some of those in 1137 for my cousins silverado.
Lil_J_XB 11-29-2005, 10:07 AM I've been looking all over for this.....I'll give it a try tomorrow.

elusivedragon 01-09-2006, 03:06 AM just did mine last night, took only about 30 min or so..got lucky with the reflector breaking nicely
did end up with a couple small scratches but you cant see it unless you put your head right in front of the light lol
i'm happy with it!
CrownScion 01-09-2006, 06:44 PM Sweet HOW-TO bro. Thanks.
bunburiano_chilepicking 02-22-2006, 07:19 PM i did mine's on about 1hr thats cause i was on the phone now i only need to replaced the light bulbs

Xb_Stud 04-23-2006, 11:10 PM i didn't read the whole thing, so if someone alreday said this sorry.
a suggestion for when you break the reflector. heat up the end of the screwdriver and melt a hole in the reflector. it jus makes it easier to get the pieces out and you don't have to hit anyting with a hammer.

I have heard of this method before. Wish I would have known, cause I would'nt have the little scratches on my lights.
Nozerider 04-29-2006, 07:49 AM I'm scared of scratching the housing.
Storm13 04-29-2006, 02:51 PM If you put a rag over the tip of the screwdriver and take your time, it comes out fine. I did mine using this DIY several months ago and it came out perfectly.
Nozerider 04-29-2006, 10:07 PM I'm doing it right now, i have a couple scratches, but the lamest part is getting the chunk behind the ridge on the far side of the housing.
optico1 06-06-2006, 02:43 PM can you send me the full picture gallery on how to remove the bumper. i went to the link you posted and there is nothing there

jon-w9 06-27-2006, 06:09 PM Are the scratches on the inside coming from the screw-driver, or the broken pieces of lens?
I may try this one, but will look for bulbs before I begin. A nice, cheap mod, just how I like 'em.

So a long while ago, i took the emblems off the back, and i wanted to do something with them. I don't know why, but i decided i was going to dremel the leters through and put lights behind it. I thought it would be an awesome idea. So i did it and i bought a 3 blue bulb led kit at auto zone for 10 bucks. I couldn't figure out how to mount lights behind it so it could reflect throughout the emblem, and i didn't want the light to directly shine through and blind people, because they are so bright. So i decided to mount one to the left of the S pointed in, in the middle of the C pointing toward the middle I, and one behind the bottom of the N, so that way, all would be covered somehow. But again, i didn't know how to mount them behind the emblem, but i remembered that i have a billet grill, and i could just shove them between the rows of metal on the grill. It was half butt, but it worked. Then i looked at the scion emblem on the original grill and i noticed the emblem on the front is the exact same one as in the back, so i took it off the front emblem off the emblem mount and decided to put the one i cut with the dremel on it. so i drilled holes on the black plastic on the emblem holder from the front where the leds were positioned on my billet grill. I also glued aluminum foil on the black plastic behind the letters of the emblem so the light could reflect throughout. I then popped the lights, in wired it up, glued the emblem on the emblem mount, and i was done! Lot of work, but it looks cool, and it was fun! Not really, just fun to look at!
ffejeroni 06-27-2006, 08:38 PM I did this last night. Took around 35 minutes start to finish. Simple mod, and I got to put in my SilverStar Fog lights since I had the bumper off. I'll be doing the emblem next week sometime! Guessing it's just Dremel out the black parts and put a LED back there? Sweet!

GREAT WRITEUP!
yigs114 07-08-2006, 12:26 PM the custom emblem that lights up using leds. there is a post out there of how it was done but as far as i am aware there arent for sale
Andrewmham 08-07-2006, 04:01 AM Took a few tries, but I finally got everything done...just something I did to make it work better, break the reflector down the middle, and then (without trying to break it) tap the remaining stuck piece downward. I got lucky both times, and one clip from each reflector broke off into the light, and the whole thing came out on both sides. Minor scratches, and they were from the bits of reflector breaking.
Looks _____in...need to get my silverstars tomorrow. Thanks for the writeup!
PaRaGoNViCtiM 08-22-2006, 02:44 AM I just did mine too! I have projectors in now, but the one is fogging pretty bad, so if I have to go back to the stockers at least they'll be cleared! Thanks for the write-up!!!
SouthCountyMiles 10-06-2006, 07:52 AM I did mine, 1 turned out amazing no problems at all, but the other... theres still these tiny peices of the orange reflecter attached, you cant really tell unless you get close and look at it from the side, but i cant reach those small edges stickin out.... any tips?
JerkzXb 01-06-2007, 06:52 PM looks good
Carlitos 01-08-2007, 04:10 PM i read one that sead the kid just stuck his screw driver in there and just broke and crack the orange reflector off..lol..good stuff
dschnurr 01-09-2007, 06:06 PM I did this mod took me probably an hour in all. I put in some silverstar turn signals too... check the profile to see how it looks.
SouthCountyMiles 01-11-2007, 08:55 PM i bought the turn signals that are chrome but light up amber, it looks so good
Fran82 01-13-2007, 07:40 PM I did this mod a little while ago, makes such a difference.
Also, if you want to be really cheap, like me, you don't have to buy new bulbs. I had some chrome spray paint laying around, but silver should work. The chrome blends in with the reflector. Just take your stock amber bulbs, hold them by the base, preferrably with a towel or rag, so you don't paint the contacts or your hands, and spray a light mist of paint on the bulb. Just cover the amber, but make sure you only spray a light coating, single coat. Let dry. Reinstall.
Bam, colored signals, and if you did it right, they should still glow amber.
Other colors might work, but you'll have to try that on your own.
I've used it on a couple different cars with no issues.
Fran82 02-21-2007, 11:46 PM Here's a pic of mine with my homemade silver bulbs:

Scazmatic 03-02-2007, 04:12 PM I really dig the way the post-mod headlights look and want to do that to my box, but I'm not real confident in the potential scratching of the hammer method or the potential to leave stray pieces of the reflector still attached.
Can anyone give more detail on the "heat up a screwdriver and melt a hole" method or the "oven" method. The link to the latter method in the thread no longer works.
Thanks.
jallamas 03-16-2007, 02:47 AM Nice info!

shortbusxb 03-19-2007, 08:36 PM Is there any other way to remove the headlight unit other than loosening up the entire front bumper??
burstaneurysm 03-19-2007, 08:48 PM ^ Not that I'm aware of...
Storm13 03-19-2007, 09:59 PM Is there any other way to remove the headlight unit other than loosening up the entire front bumper??
No there really isn't. One of the screws that holds the headlights into place is underneath/behind a section of the side panel/bumper that drops down when you take the bumper off. Honestly though, removing the front bumper is very very easy. If you decide to remove the front bumper to do this, it's also a good time to replace the wimpy stock horn :P
mijos87 06-24-2007, 10:38 PM does any one know how to get the plastic off the edges? one sides clean but the other side didnt break like i wanted.... so now i have a yellow plastic going up all along the outter edge of my headlight !! please need help! suggestions! anything!
___MmmBoxy___ 06-24-2007, 10:48 PM Great job. Thx
It's illegal. Everything that looks good or sounds good or is fun is illegal!! Haha!! You live in Huntington?? Where abouts? I live right by you! Me and a friend might have a detail party this week....if you want to come......

ShawnBenton 10-01-2008, 01:21 AM just got done clearing mine..
the first headlight, i broke the reflector but part stayed connected and was a _____ to get out but it finally did. so the second headlight i gave it a real good whack and it all cracked first swing.
i have the silverstar bulbs in the mail as of 5 minutes ago ( the ones that are blue and light up amber) i cant wait to get those in.
flying_toaster 01-25-2009, 11:08 PM wow, this looks so good and is so easy!! took me about 5 mins to take off the bumper. and then 20 mins to do the first light. i didnt have the right tools so it was a pain in the butt so i decided to go to ACE hardware and get the right tools. if you want this done they have a whole kit of hobby pliers and they get the job done PERFECT. theyre 20 bucks and come with about 6 diff styles of plyers and cutters. they are amazing and i got the second light cleared and installed in under 5 mins.
