Default buring smell from front brake????

I think (but am not positive) that my e-brake is causing a burning smell in my front passenger side brake. It smells like burnt metal. I just had my oil change and Toyota said the brake pads had plenty left so I don't think I made it through the pads. Anyone else had this problem?

Ebrake is rear brake only. It is a drum brake inside the rear brake rotor.

Are the front brakes smoking? There is a possibility that a pad is bound up or the piston is bound up, causing a brake to be partially applied all the time. But it could something other than brakes as well.

If the brake is stuck, your pads will turn blue and start coming apart pretty soon from overheating.

I have not seen smoke. Just the smell of burnt metal, and my rim is getting dark from some sort of dust.

maybe the brake dust? id take off the caliper and check the piston inside. if it froze you may need a new caliper i.e. warranty!!!
