just a silly useless question for everyone....

who else actually closes it every time they get out of the car and open it when they get into the car? i know i made a habit of it since getting my new head unit. I like to hide my baby!

my HU actually beeps for a couple seconds after turning the car off and it reminds me to close the lid. the beep is there to remind the user to take the face off, but i use the beep as a reminder to simply close the lid and hide it.

 

I dont use it... I actually took it off... But that's for some little work I am doing and hoping to show soon!... ;)

 

I took mine off because i have my screen set to open everytime i get in my car and it would hit it and im sure mess something up... so ya mine is off

 

i close and open it every time. I actually wanted that thing that did it for you when you turn off/on the car. But never got around to buying it and didnt feel like messing with it. It sounded like they had some problems with it anyways.

 

my boyfriend likes his, he just can't use it because his navi doesnt allow it close. it's a shame though, wouldnt want anyone seeing it and stealing it! oh well...not like anyone can see in anyways because of his 5% tint haha

 

yea i heard there was some problems with the motorized cover. if it was cheaper and worked perfectly i'd have it as well.

 

I open and close mine all the time.

I use mine all the time as well, its one of the key reasons I bought the tC, headunit security...

i as well open and close mine.. closed when parked, usually open when im driving. only time its closed when im driving is when it gets too bright at night. lol

 

i usually have mine closed to hide my HU...lol I only open it to like load CD's and change settings...i change volume and stuff from my steering wheel controls

yeah, even though im running a stock HU, i still close and open it all the time

I do it all the time too, its something to mess with in the car...

 

crank the music louder to kill your boredom or something. lol

 

I have mine close most of the time, 'cause I have the cf dash kit and I like the way it flows

 

why hide it when you're in the car?
