erichlf 11-17-2004, 10:52 PM There is one for sell in the yahoo auctions in japan for $9500. I have it posted under bB auctions in japan.
theappe 11-17-2004, 11:11 PM very cool car. they need to bring it to the US
stickler64 11-17-2004, 11:14 PM fugly!
fireballfish 11-18-2004, 12:13 AM I wish that they'd offer a 2 door xB... the "open deck" would look better if it had a bigger bed and it were a 2 seater
ScionXBrent 11-18-2004, 12:46 AM It'd be cool/I'd only buy it if it had suicide doors ala Saturn Ion coupe.

TheScionicMan 11-18-2004, 02:15 AM Those doors are Element style...
Too bad they cut off the Subwoofer compartment.
theappe 11-18-2004, 02:19 AM so what would be your def. of "suicide doors" it doesnt get any more suicide then that! LMFAO :P
windowtint 11-18-2004, 03:00 AM more than likely he was trying to say suicide doors that opened on their own (without having to open the front doors first).
Fujiz_xb 11-18-2004, 03:15 AM i like the suicide doors.. i like trucks...but not this one...the box stays...and yeah.. i can cruise with out the thumping inside of car..so fuji no like
dcool 11-18-2004, 03:16 AM Did you guys noticed that its have just 3 doors? The right hand rear pax door doesnt open.
Fujiz_xb 11-18-2004, 03:17 AM ^^^ if thats the case..den def the fuji doesnt like.

They don't usually put those on cars anymore because they seriously compromise side impact safety. Having the doors overlap one another helps protect the occpants in a crash.
TJandBOXCARWILLIE 11-18-2004, 07:42 AM Far out. Not for me, but hey. If I wanted a truck, I would have bought one.

And somehow I doubt the xB has the towing or cargo weight capacities to really function like a p/u truck.
If anything, the truck version would be mostly just for show---much like an Explorer Sport Trac.
House_Of_Steel 11-18-2004, 10:41 AM Anyone have an idea what radio is installed in that truck ?
VIPtoyotabB 11-18-2004, 03:06 PM That is the bBx concept vehicle. They did make a handful and they might make it to our shores in 2007. I personally would buy one since I haul stuff around on a regular basis.
RHDVIPbB 11-18-2004, 03:09 PM Personally I like it ever since I saw the concept back in 2002. Maybe I will try to import one over here so I can be the only one. I would change the color though since that yellow is just not my taste.
2tone_xB 11-18-2004, 03:56 PM Yeah, open deck. But it's badass. Looks better in motion. I like the grille.
Mark44 11-18-2004, 04:05 PM I like that alot!
Mark44
reybz 11-18-2004, 06:23 PM i hope they bring this here to the US i'll buy one and trick it out it would be SICK
hotbox05 11-18-2004, 06:40 PM i love it but damn look at how low that tailgate goes? youd have to be on a really flat surface to open it up. especially if it's dumped. it is dope tho.

I personally would buy one since I haul stuff around on a regular basis.Actually, the bbX concept was just a regular xB with a different front lip, side skirts, and a damd headlight cover. It's in the gallery.

jennay 11-19-2004, 12:13 AM me want, me want!!!
-Keith- 11-19-2004, 01:35 AM Anyone have an idea what radio is installed in that truck ?
I believe that is the navi that comes in the camries and such now.
Max2k 11-19-2004, 01:56 AM In any event, I don't think they're making open deck bBs any more.
Tuning69 11-19-2004, 02:16 AM The 2004 Toyota offer the radio, does anyone else notice that there is a driveshaft hump, its AWD.

Thats the bbX
frogman 11-19-2004, 02:18 AM For those who want the bB Open Deck to come to the U.S., you could fill in the feedback form at:

I just did.
revelinit 11-19-2004, 07:23 AM I like the seats, excpept that awful bench in the back, how about some seperation, hell, what about removable buckets like a (GasP) Chyrsler Van?
MissXbCt 06-15-2005, 03:36 AM ::Makes a puppy face:: I want it mommy!! I want it!!!!!!
I would give it strong consideration as a 3rd vehicle. It wouldn't be yellow, though. Probably black or dark blue. I'll have my car paid off in 18 months.
koasterking 06-15-2005, 01:26 PM Just out of curiousity, Why didn't they bring the open deck over here? I would've prefer the open deck over my xb. Too bad. Hopefully, they will with the T2B.
The OpenDeck appears to not be a practical 'truck'. It is more a micro-crew cab, or convenience truck. The back seat doesn't look comfortable for anyone excpet car seat children or really short-haul passengers. The back wouldn't carry large loads of lumber. Great for gardeners!
This doesn't mean I wouldn't want one. It would help cut down on the miles I put on my xB. And, I'd use it for work.
slowpoke414 06-15-2005, 02:34 PM Truck looks tight, might have to add that one to my collection when it comes out...definitely should be in RS 1.0 HOT LAVA
