Is the axle back exhaust the only exhaust upgrade that i can do to if i want to pass inspection? :doh:

depends on your state's regulations on exhaust.

usually, you automatically fail if you have a CEL, which happens if you replace your header.

some states have visual inspections, in which case you would fail if your exhaust is obviously not stock.

some states have noise regulations, usually about 95 decibels is the limit, any more and you'l fail.

some states like cali, only let you use CARB approved parts, of which there aren't that many.

some states just don't really care at all, and even if they have anual inspections, sometimes their inspectors don't really even care.

The DMV inspection technician will check your dashboard for any warning lamps. A cable will be connected to your car's computer to detect any emissions failures and the MIL will be tested for proper functioning.

I am glad I live in FLORIDA!! No Rules..That I know of. We dont have a car inspection at all. :silly:

REally if you are not tossing a CEL I think you are fine.........only a few states are known for cracking down on parts.........think Cali is bad try Utah........car must be stock.........all stock...........

any cat-back exhaust or axel-back is 50 state legal. You will fail inspection if you remove a catalytic converter.

So any other mod takes out the cat?

i miss livin in tampa, they did away with the inspections when i was around 12. way before i ever had to worry bout em!!!
