ok whenever i start my car and its cold out im fine until i get to where overdrive should kick in. but once there my car will not shift up. after a while of my car running at over 4000rpm and the temp skyroketing it will finally shift up. my dealer says its normal that all toyatas do it, until normal operating temps are met. but it sounds horrible and kills my gas mileage. is this true. thanks.
