Default double din

okay so i wanna get a head unit that fills the double din area. navigation isn't necessary but i want it to have some power to provide for a decent system. i know the d3 is popular but i wanted to see what other products have good reviews.

Don't ever use DUAL and GOOD in the same sentence.

The d3 is good, the eclipse units are nice, clarion, alpine. Those are all reputable brands. There are cheaper brands but I suggest you stay away from them.

isn't it considered illegal to have a dvd playing while driving? = installers wiring it up to the e-brake so video only plays when the e-brake is up.

Yes. I am an installer and it is illegal to have any video playing in driver view while the car is moving. Pretty sure it is in all states now.

really and why is that? This is one of the best in dash players i still have to have seen for the price...just because it's not a big name in the industry doesn't mean the quality is poor.

Ive seen some good Dual products. Dont put the company
down just because they are cheap and had a ruff start.
There is also no reason to charge ____ loads of money
especially when it doesn't have navigation.
For 500 dollars though I would get the d3 since its only about 540 now.
