What: Monthly AZ Toyota Meet

I am trying to see how much interest there is to get a Monthly Toyota Meet started here in the PHX area.

We would be meeting on the last Saturday night of each month at around 6PM. The place where we'll meet will be decided when enough people show interest.
I would like to get as many Toyota owners to attend as possible. It will be a way for us all to get to know each other and check out other Toyota models. This is also including all Scion owners and all Lexus owners!!

This meet is long overdue!! We have yet to get every model of Toyota out to a meet, but I'm still sure it will happen!
For this meet I'd like to set it up as a party style Meet. It's my friends B-day on the 13th and mine is on the 15th. If anyone else birthday falls around then we'll celebrate it as well. We'll meet up at the Dave and Busters which is located in the Tempe Market Place. MAP


*The plan will be to meet at the Tempe Market Place on Rio Salado and McClintok, just off the 202. Well just hang out and party at Dave and Busters until we're ready to leave.

Well we did have an initial get together meet last night just to see how many people were interested.
The turnout was better than expected!! We had a bunch of people there this time. There were 4 or 5 celicas, a couple mr2's, a corolla, 350z, civic hatch. Good turnout!!

We didn't really have time to talk about the next meet or really anything about setting something up again. So, we'll have to all get together again soon to figure something out!!

I'll keep the first post updated with all the new meet info!!

 

I would like to come check out an event some time.

i didnt know 350zs and civic were toyotas.

Our next meet has been scheduled for Saturday 29th. It's the last Saturday of this month so I hope we can get some scions to come out.

Sounds good!! I would like to see some more Scions show. I know there will be a few Celicas, Lexus's, Corollas for sure.

Alright I have a small Update that I just found out about.

*UPDATE* There will be a car show/ race event open to all cars at Firebird Raceway being held the same day as our meet. http://yourclubs.caliberweb.com/

If anyone is interested in entering your vehicle in the show and/or races post it up here. If we get a group of 5 or more, then pre-reg is only $25.

Just so there's no confusion, this event will have no effect on our meet. We will still meet up at Tempe Towne Lake at 6PM.

 

So how many Scions will be showing up this Saturday for sure??

Ya, it seems like we'll be getting a decent turnout this Saturday, even with all the other events going on that day!!

First post has all the info you'll need!! Meet is still a GO, so we'll see you guys tomorrow!!

Remember to follow the directions because there will be some roads closed off because of the Tempe Music Festival and Art Festival. As long as you take Rural/Scottsdale Rd down and you should be fine!!

We will most likely be there for a long while waiting for people to show and taking pics or whatnot. Everyone should try to make it by at least 6 or around 7.

 

Well we had a decent turnout this time around!! Turns out the AZ-AWD also had a meet at the same place we did so there was a lot of nice cars that showed. Next one will be schedule for Saturday, April 26th.

I want to figure out something else to do this time, so we don't get bored real fast. Maybe a cruise, then a BBQ.

 

Sorry I missed this one. Got the ride all de-badged, new grill put on, all waxed & shined up...and promptly got called into work. Maybe we can BBQ for the next one, then cruise over to the weekly show by the SS Mall or Pavillions?...//TJ

 

Hmmmm... somehow I am thinking there is a car show that day... but don't quote me. If there is not one, I will go to this meet. I'm interested in meeting everyone and seeing their rides.
