I was actually thinking of trying to make the Sylvania Xenarc HID driving lights fit into the stock position... I just got stock fog lights instead.

IMHO, the positioning of the stock foglights, or any that would go there, is ineffective. For maximum effectiveness, fog lights should be mounted as low as possible to penetrate under the fog and minimize "dazzle" reflections back into the driver's eyes. That's the reason you should never use high beams in the fog. The stock position is way too high. If I were going to get foglights, I'd get an aftermatket kind that could be mounted in the grill area just above the front air dam.

Yes, this is true.

Now, if we could only do something about all the hey-look-at-me-I-have-foglights bozos who turn them on all the time just to look cool (when it actually makes them look silly).

Oh well.

Dont have the OEM lights. THey are too high, IMO. But these would look good. I wonder if they will work? I wonder if they are too wide. I want to place them on the lowest front grille.

Yes, the only problem is that they don't look OEM mounted there. I guess the answer is to get the Evolution Preta v2 body kit or the Fabulous Full-kit. ;)

From scion.com:

"Increase visibility in all weather and night driving conditions with a set of high-performance halogen fog lights."

I was going to say I don't see the big deal with people driving with "fog lights" on all the time. All they are doing is projecting more light for themselves. Don't see the big deal in that. It must be Rice JK JK
