Yeah, you'll feel it kick pretty well, especially in the low end torque department.

You'll probably need a new clutch soon, so start saving up. I squeezed my SE-R and stock clutches don't hold up well to the added torque.

If you really want the kit to go un-noticed, paint the solenoids and other parts black. You might want to paint the relay too, that NOS logo kinda gives it away. Otherwise, good job on hiding the parts.

thanks yeah I wasnt really trying to hide it it just kinda went that way lol, and I know Ill probably need a clutch, but it will only be sprayed about once a month and I had a toyota tech with a 75shot on his scion tell me he had sprayed about 60 times on the stock clutch and it was still holding fine, they are pretty beefy lol

my stock clutch is still holding strong and i'm about to push 50k. i put the kit in when i just clocked 38k last year and haven't had a clutch problem.

i think i went through about 4 or 5 bottles last year. i would go to the track almost every Friday from march to September on drag radials and the stock clutch has handled it like a champ

nice, what times have you ran on and off slicks? on what bottle pressure? Just trying to get what I should expect since I have pretty much the same mods as you, if you know your hp rating Id love to know what to shoot for.

since we only have an 1/8 mile track here my best time was 9.0 (forget the mph) on the drag radials running 18 psi in them and on my 18's the best i could get was a 9.5

Blue_TC_Man
03-10-2008, 09:08 PM
really? with spray? what rpm are you spraying in and how many gears cause I ran a 9.5 off spray at our 1/8adn I got a friend running 9's flat on slicks what you keep your bottle pressure at?

of course the clutch can hanlde it, it is made to work with the SC, which is like 70 HP so a 75 shot shouldnt be an issue for being able to deliver power.

i try to keep bottle pressure 250 - 300 psi but i don't have a heater. but our local track here is garbage. they don't do any type of track prep and i still spin violently with drag radials. i have mine set to come on at 4200 rpm and cut off at 6400. the without nitrous i have ran 9.8 right now its down to just a traction issue.

my friends and i plan to go to the 1/4 mile and see what we can do there when the track is actually prepared. i know my times suck compared to yours. does your friends run full on slicks with a all motor set up?

dude up that bottle pressure your probably running rich as hell, 950 is what you should be running you'll take a sec+ off your time

thats the heater I got 99 bucks pressure regulated and a great company to work with
and our 1/8 is the same way it is called wilkesboro but proudly named slicksboro lol yeah full on slicks gutted rear and full bolt ons minus pulleys.

oh ____ i just realized thats my pressure now my bottle probably empty. but yeah its around that when its filled.damn i feel retarded. i thinking about gutting the rear out when i go to bowling green. you gutted to? anther guys turbo tc only a 8.7 with me driving it on my drag radials at our track. his best time was like a 9.2 or something like that.

Blue_TC_Man

mines not it really isnt worth it, he is getting nitrous now too, but yeah get a blanket at least i wouldnt run a bottle under 950psi, you should see at least an 8.5 with a 75 shot and in the 1/4 im hoping to break into 13s I run a 15.1 now so
