Hey Everyone, I just had Tenzo Type C rims 17's with Dunlop SP Zr Tires installed 215/45/17. Offset 40. The guys said they used a spacer on front wheels because rim was touching caliper. My problem is steering wheel shakes when I'm going about 70. On some parts of the freeway it's fine but on others not good . It looks like they used a 1/4 inch spacer. Any suggestions? Re balance rims ,change spacer . Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bob

interesting... the tire might not be balanced correctly or the spacer might have something to do with it.
i have 215/45/17 with 40mm offset as well... and i have no spacer..and no rubbing at all.
i suggest u take it back and see what they can do to adjust it. shaking of rim is not normal and can be a safety factor.

bobby, see if it is balanced in two places.
Crappy wheel mounting places will balance the wheel in one location
Good places will balance the inside AND the outside of the wheel....
I HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM AS YOU!!!
Was completely fixed by having a different place balance them correctly, the inside and the outside.
