Here are a few photos of what I Started the other day. I am doing a mild port and polish and maybe some new valves and springs so i can raise the redline a little bit.

Anyone know if an Apexi AFC will be enough for engine management?

That awesome man. i want to clean up my head this summer also.

the AFC will throw codes. you i say go with the AEM F/IC thats probably the best option out right now with alot of support. but the ultimate is alright

Hopefully it wont be too much longer before im done with this. then im going to have to find someone to help lift the engine out so i can replace it. When i yank the engine i might do some work on the bottom end, but that depends how much money i have. I also plan on building myself a turbo system, but thats further down the line.

This all started when i was wondering how much power a simple port and polish job can get. I figure if i do all the work myself it could be the best mod for the money...almost free.

So far i have 1 exhaust port done. It looks really good and is as smooth as glass. Its also going in for a valve job after i finish up. I'm saving up for some Dezod valves and springs. but most likely it will go in the car without them.

Man that is rough in there.........you are gonna be busy.........it wil be worth it........anytime I ever did it to a car they ran smoother and had better top end power.

So i should have all the ports done by this weekend. then the project is going on hold until i get my hands on more money for a valve job and an AEM F/IC.

Good news is I already found help for the install.

Well, i have been working on the head more. I have just a little bit more to finish on the exhaust side and i have started the intake ports. The intake is a lot trickier than the exhaust, the runners are so damn long its almost impossible for me to get in there while still being able to see what i'm doing.

anyways. here are some updated shots i took about a half-hour ago.
