Some ppl just shouldn't be allowed to start threads......or should think before they post. It's the classic "I need to put others down to make myself feel more special." I have no probs with ppl posting up threads for expensive/discontinued wheels. Some of them are awesome (and some are ugly, but to each their own). But some things can be handled with a bit more tact...and this particular thread is pointless.

You have a point, its hard to keep posting their wheels though.. not all are experts on wheels, some are noobs and some people have different opinion on what is rare or what is expensive so they thought their wheels are cool there.. the thread with rules is much better still hard to avoid.

my wheels are expensive, but i found them for a good price used. the wheels i have go for about 570 new if you wanted one. id say thats pretty damn expensive lol. i didnt say i spent a butt load of cash on them tho did i? :wink:

Also, these were not Norm's rims. I actually bought these of a guy named Ryan aka The Red Barron. That's my boy right there. Gave me a awesome deal for the rims and tires....

I love these things. The center circle on the wheel face looks almost like some older wheels, so it has a hint of nostalgia to it. Feels good so far, but I want to get a front strut tower bar mounted again so I can carve through the turns again.

I'm not an ego tripper... I have what are considered "played out, cheap" rims. But does it get to me? Hell no! Because those compliments I get in my PM box everyday make me fell better. And it's obviously my choice whether or not I want to spend $ on rims. If I wanted to, I could. And I might. But it's not gonna change what people post here on SL. As long as MY car looks good to ME, that's all that matters. Worry about yourself and no one else...

Exactly the point, in that "baller wheels thread", those wheels in there are nice, but why put so much money on somthing that is prone to get damage, no matter what quality they are. Cars depritiate (sp)... remodeling your home doesn't. I think the majority in this thread have wise decisions in their choice of affordable wheels for their cars.

Maybe someone should start a thread in the "All the Other Cars" section, name the head subject, "Potential Baller Cars in your Possible Future", and list the cars that are potential ballers. Not trying to diss on the Scion name, but this is a reality check for a few of you. Our brands are entry level automobiles. We don't need to have conceited player haters to bring the rest of the SL community down with the title of this thread.

As far as others trying to flame me for my opinions, all I'll say is, "Do what you want with your Scions. It's your car after all, but do not insult the rest of the community and single others out".

Some ppl with their expensive wheels keep telling me, "Too bad you're not part of the club" and I think that is bullsh1t. THIS IS A PUBLIC FORUM FOLKS, NOT A CLUB.
And it's funny to see ppl get frustrated over my opinions and tell me to leave the forum. If you create an insulting subject in a public forum, how could you expect everyone to agree with it. That's just loco. Just remember, having expensive wheels, or MONEY for that matter, doesn't defy (sp) your reputation. So the ones acting like big shots should keep it low, cuz it's giving the Scion brand a bad rep.

How are your guys' Axis wheels holding up to daily rides? I'm thinking about picking up a set of OG's

daily rides? no prob, lol like any other decent wheels.. when it comes to durability, I say its reliable... i got some real damage on 2 wheels, not major though but those came from a really bad pot holes, and i've been through a lot of big ones, and damaged isnt really that bad for wheels with low profile tires
