i can get alot of this stuff cheaper looking around or buying used
most this was priced in a hurry and off ebay and such. im looking to spend no more than 2700 for everything and shooting for a conservative 250hp @ 7-8psi

 

What cast iron manifold are you planning on getting? And what DP can you get for $50?
Also, I dont' see a wastegate in your list, and if you get those 550cc injectors, then fuel management is not optional...it's neccessary!

 

boosting on a budget...

 

budget is fine--- general rule 1. Do it wisely 2. do it right

 

gotta have some extra money to cover unexpected expenses that come up. and when it comes to boosting, those can get pretty costly. if you got some saved up and trying to get the best bang for the buck then by all means.

 

Well, it's fine if he is aiming to spend no more then $2700 on the parts, as long as he knows he should have double the cash available for "Just In case" stuff.

 

well i have dealt with alot of boosted cars. and i see no prob in using cheaper stuff or ebay stuff on certain parts. like the downpipe and manifold. I have used these kind of parts on other boosted vehicles with no probs at all. And yes i realize i need backup money and i also know what im doing. Not everyone here that is on a budget is a dumb person who knows nothing about the ways of forced induction.

 

wastegate will be internal on the turbocharger set at 7psi i rather deal with an internal because its cheaper, and 7psi isnt alot of boost so i wont have any probs with boost creep.

 

intercooler & charge pipes...? My buddy went to home depot for the piping lol

Yea, you may want to go with Greddy E-manage for tuning. Also, a manifold is not something to cheap out on.

 

or else you wont have a down pipe coz they dont sell it..

 

I think they do sell it now, but it costs more then the mani does! Hell...maybe he's buying aen's old mani & dp and he's finally going TT

OH, and get the AEM F/IC...not the Greddy.

 

Why don't you just go with a turbotoyota's or dezod kit rather than piecing it together yourself with cheap parts?

 

don't forget, charge pipes, couplers, etc. will run you over your allotted 100 misc. parts portion.

 

well there goes the word "CHEAP", better word= inexpensive. And maybe some bragging rights..

 

I would just buy a used complete kit on here instead of going through the hassle of piecing it together.

I see dezod kits going for cheap as hell on here including everything and more then what you wanted

 

because i can get it done just as good and cheaper, and the pride of saying i built this kit from the ground up and it will be more complete than any kit u buy. I dont see kits coming with fuel pumps, and widebands

 

you don't need to upgrade your fuel pump with 550cc's

but I will let you make your kit to give you pride. Or you can just buy a pride sticker....
