Yup, plus they use Pennzoil. Such a waste of money to go to a place like that.

f-that.
take em for all their worth.
they dont even deserve to be in business.
they should have all their licenses revoked and be foreced to close down.

when i took my car for transmission oil change... i took my own oil and basically stood over their shoulders making sure they used MY oil and DID IT... they were fine with it as long as i didn't get too close and stuff.

If u took the time to buy ur own oil and then stood over them watching them do the work, why didn't u just do it urself? that way u wouldn't have had to babysit grown folk. :ponder:

I always thought it would be good show for Oprah to do. Women and Cars. Hidden car buying tricks that salespeople & managers do. And typical car repairs tricks that shops do. Shows women how to predict and know what to do if they are in that situration.

Like cameras sort of thing...but on a test car taken by experienced female tech.

well seeing i didn't have my jack and stands at the time and the tc has this SUPER awkward angle for the tranny fluid... it was MUCH easier to babysit... and worth it

I used to go to jiffy lube but i change my own now. Good thing I guess. Don't parents teach their kids morals any more? If my mom found out that I was doing that, even today she'd smack me upside the head!

I wouldn't let Jiffy Lube touch my peanut butter!!!

A looooooong time ago I went to one right by my work to get an oil change. At the time, I only worked 5 hour shifts. I told them to call me when it was ready. As the 4th hour went by, I started to worry. When my shift was over, I went across the street to see what the heck was going on. To my surprise and without my authorization, they were putting coolant in my car for my A/C and my $19.95 oil change was now going to cost me $145!!! I said, "No way! Unplug and disconnect everything and I will get it fixed at a REPUTABLE garage that gets the owner's permission before they start the work." The guy looked at me like he didn't understand what I was saying. Dork. When I got home I reported that particular Jiffy Lube to the BBB. Most people I have talked to that had work done at Jiffy Lube usually say they wouldn't go back.

I went to get my transmission fixed in my old car and the shop had a huge sign posted that said they will charge you an extra $65 if you watch them do the work because they have to pay insurance just in case anything dangerous happens while they are working. :tap: It's starting to make sense now...

thats the reason why i do everything myself. you're paying more there for something you can do yourself and how do you know they're actually doing it? and if it's something i'm incapable of doing i have my mechanics do it.
