Red_Genie_xB 01-10-2004, 09:38 AM Hi guys
Here is the photochopped picture I posted before

I want to start this project ASAP, but I need to know how many of you would be ready to buy it
The price of this grill is expected to be around $125~$200 depend on if the grill comes with the mesh grill insert, painted or not, fiberglass/ carbon fiber
I have already scheduled to bring in my xB for some prototype modeling. This project can be started next week, and expecting finished product within 2 weeks.
Let me know!
Munch 01-10-2004, 12:17 PM I would be interested , as long as the price hovers around $150 or less.
MrSmiley 01-10-2004, 01:13 PM I'd be interesed if it came color keyed to match my xB. Def, would need some sort of mesh behind it, maybe something similar to the speed grill. CF would look cool but might be too much for people that were droppin a CF hood on as well. Keep up the good work

ohmigod, this would be nearly exactly what i want to replace my grill with. i wanted non billet because i doesnt match up well with the lower part of the front bumper too well and i also wanted something with a semi-large gaping mouth
ONE BIG SUGGESTION RED GENIE if you produce this thing, round off the inner corners to match with stock. the angles are not as sharp on the stock bumper.
man its just like the movie Field of Dreams, "Just Build It and They Will Come"
yanges 01-10-2004, 05:18 PM I would be interested , as long as the price hovers around $150 or less.
me too!
does that pic have the grille insert of any kind? does not look like it.....
a mesh insert would be nice....
any chance on doing a design similar to this grille from Fabulous:

i like that design a lot, but not the price!
and with a fine mesh grille instead of the billet, i think that would be Sweet!
SPAWN 01-10-2004, 05:23 PM sorry i like the way the grill looks ,but i have my heart set on the toysport grill. good job though on the design looks wicked.
Red_Genie_xB 01-10-2004, 05:30 PM Hi guys
Thanks for all the suggestions :D
When I create the grill, I will make sure it matches all lines of the car.
As for metal mesh, I will go to some sheet metal shops and shop around for different mesh grills. I am not sure if I can find the good quality ones like the speed grill and sell the whole thing within a good price range, but I will try my best.
Right now I am debating if I should start the spoiler first or the grill... So, please do keep voting :D
PandaIst 01-10-2004, 05:40 PM Hi Tim.....any decision yet if you want to start producing an xA kit...an idea brought back to life when i first talked to you about it with my greatwhitexA user name like 4 months ago ??....hehe
showpaojoe 01-10-2004, 07:12 PM I'm with yanges on the Fabulous grille. That has beeen my fave for a while now. Yours looks good too but I'd like to see the bottom and top a little thicker. Great job
Red_Genie_xB 01-11-2004, 01:44 AM Hum...
I think my grill will look good with a car that has bodykit already
Fabulous grill will just fit the car with or w/o the kit :D
Okay, this is what I want to do for the grill...
I will design something maybe similar to it. I'll do some photochop again tonight
I can probably offer like a fabulous style grill, but I am not sure about the metal insert :?
Let me know if you guys are down with fabulous style grill

i really like it....mesh or not....i think it might even increase HP...cus right now, with the stock grille, there is no air flow thru the grille....with this new design, its almost like a RAM-AIR hood....me likey
camoscion 01-11-2004, 01:53 AM that looks really cool cant wait to see it in person

i was wondering about air flow thru a spoiler like that.....would it allow water to get in engine compartment when raining? or is the engine compartment sealed off from that area?
scionmag 01-11-2004, 05:51 AM Tim... use a stainless steel mesh and it should look really nice... you could even offer it in a powereder coat look?
MrSmiley 01-11-2004, 02:48 PM I like the fabulous grill ... not a fan of the billet but mesh would look sik I think ... not sure about an empty hole though, might look a lil weird...
bBOXD 01-12-2004, 05:51 AM I like your design a whole lot. I would be in for one of those. I do not like the Billet grill at all. Looks very out of place on the front of the bB, of course its IMHO. Please make the grill like you have it in the first picture. I like it a lot. :)
batute 01-12-2004, 06:06 AM how about grills like these for the xA ?

thefoth 01-12-2004, 07:50 AM I think the grill in your first photochop is nice. I'd say its one of the nicer looking ones I've seen. If people want a fabulous grill they'll should either buy a real one or wait for one of the many rip off companies to replicate them. I think it's cool that you're doing you own thing. Secondly about metal incerts, I think it'd be cool if you gave people a choice, either with or without. W/o being cheaper and with perhaps offering it so they can just do the grill or have matching incerts all the way down.

FuglyxB 09-24-2004, 12:35 AM Like someone posted earlier, if you make the corner radiuses (radii?) of your grill match the corners of the lower two AND fit honeycomb mesh identical to the bottom two, I think you'll have a winner...
That's what I've envisoned for some time now... make it happen please! :D
hotbox05 09-24-2004, 01:17 AM it's really sweet but that price is bank rolla chop that up my friend and you will have many a customer
chucksu 09-24-2004, 01:24 AM Im not even sure if these are still being made.
Milhamscion 09-24-2004, 01:30 AM Limited edition!
150dBxB 09-24-2004, 02:40 AM please offer this painted and/or in carbon
how about painted carbon?
one other suggestion would be to make an available bracket to hold the BB emblem!
