Ok, so I was driving early this morning when I heard a rattle in my "oven" box and realized it was a single cd rolling around. So I opened the "oven" and took the sinle cd out and was going to put it under some cd cases I had in the "oven." So as I'm wedging it under the cases and what I thought was the floor of the "oven" I was actually wedging it into a little slit in the plastic between the lit box and the ashtray and cigarette lighter. The cd slid all the way into my dash behind the A/C control panel and now it's rattling constantly. I'm going to the dealer to have them get it out, I don't trust myself to pull the dash off. I just wanted to let everyone know to be very careful of this ominous slit in the plastic, and to warn you of this possibility.

you don't gotta rip your dash apart, just take off the two silver sides, they pull out and take a phillips driver and unscrew the "oven" and the ashtray and grab the cd and put it back together. shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to do. the dealers gonna sit on your car for about an hour if you bring it in. it took them hour 30 minutes to swap taillights out on mine, a job which would've only taken again, 5 minutes.

Wow, I have heard of a bun in the oven but never a CD! I hope you are able to get the CD out without the dealers help.

Yeah, it's a piece of cake to take the center dash apart. I've actually got it down to an art: I keep a mini screwdriver in my glovebox and can take everything apart in about 2 minutes :D
even the engine
