wow 160 but thats the most you can get out of it with an intake a turbo charger.

No successful engine swaps but that would be awsome if there was.

turbo XB??? Who sells a turbo for the xb??

are you serious? Man... heh.

GReddy makes a turbo kit, Blitz makes the supercharger. Run a search and you'll get a lot of stuff on it. Check out the ScionLife store too. I think scionsport.com has both for sale as well.

Well, my box isn't the fastest, but its about near as fast as it can go without a turbo or supercharger...lol

I want to have some knife-edge rods, and some badass pistons fabbed up... perhaps some titanium valve springs, retainers, etc.. all the basic motor build up ____...lol

I'm in the process of getting my hands on the new stuff from Perrin like the pulley and the fuel rail, and once I get those both installed, and try and tweak out my fuel system some more. I'll take my car down to this car shop in my neighborhood I just found out and get some pulls on the DynoJet they've got..

btw, just read my sig. bish!

Yeah, bigger=slower, if and only if there is more rotation inertia. If rotational inertia remains the same (wheel mass is the same, or lighter, and the distribution is the same) then a larger wheel can the same, if not faster. BTW, these kinds of wheels are very rare, and very expensive, and usually never get larger than 17". Next time you see an F1 car on a trailer, you could "borrow" his wheels.

But then again, smaller (if you get too small) is also slower. There's a threshold you pass when it comes to acceleration (depending on load, torque, hp, and gearing) that can determine the most efficient wheel size for your car. Seconly, OEM size may not be the most efficient, as total wheel diameter is often chosen based on comfort. Sometimes a larger or smaller size may be more efficient. . . but rule of thumb, larger is slower, 99% of the time.

If i took a guess...i'd bet the 03 rav4 motor will be the next scion xb motor. 2liter with an awd tranny readily available(japan version). just a guess. so starting at something closer to 120-125whp is something i'd consider first before boosting the stock 1.5. You can get a hell of a lot more out of that 2liter and utilize some real torque out of a 2300lb vehicle. The would probably use that motor since the body will change after a couple years and the nose would be configured for the 2.4liter. all guesses though...who knows.

You wont be cheating them that way, thats for sure. Laws state that when you swap a motor into another chassis it has to be from the same year that your car was made or newer. Being that the xB is from 04 and 05 youd need to use an 04-05 Celica motor. Im sorry to break your little heart but the Celica GTS motor has been using a DBW (drive by wire) system since 2003. Good luck figuring out how to make that work.... :( you could try to make it work by swapping the throttle body and intake manifolds but I believe they differ from the 2000-2002 GTS motors if memory serves correct. Im almost positive they are since I had an 02 and my friends GTS is an 03....

EL Prototypes ran 15 seconds flat (15.06 I believe) at 7psi on their 3rd run at Extreme Autofest a few weeks ago with BF Goodrich street radials and full interior. Before that it was 15.7 and15.6. They just got forged internals from JE so they'll be pushin 13psi all day...I was just at the shop and the cars stripped...so they'll easily be in the 13s with about 180-190whp. Once they stick em in they'll surpass my NA xB which some of the OG scionlifers know about.

a friend of mine a while back when i first got my box said, that there was indeed a motor that would fit the xb with minimal modification. i think he said it was a toyota celica engine . i'm not sure but i think he said it was from a 97 or 98 . he was telling me that you could get in the 300 hp range. this is from a friend of mine that has torn apart and rebuilt many import cars . i hope that helps you out . .....peace
