I wasn't able to find a previous topic on this, or I don't know how to use the search. Not sure if this works with the single disc stereo (I have the 6 disc).

The original startup message says "Scion" I believe. To change it, have the ignition switched to OFF. While holding down the A (Audio control) button, turn the key on. As this point, you'll see a flashing horizontal line below the text on the radio. I think you have 15 seconds to hold down the M (Mute button) and turn the car back off. Here, the radio will stay on, and you can customize the message. Use the volume up and down buttons to navigate through the characters. To advance to the next character, press the A button. To go back, press M. When you get to the end, the message will flash. You should just be able to leave it, and it will turn off. You can also hit the A button again I believe.

 

Yah that trick works with the single CD player, i found out how to change it in the Manual

 

Only on 2005+ radios.
