What is a harness bar?

it is a safe way to attach race harnesses, it mounts to the b pillar of your car (where the top of your seatbelt is) then mount to the floor, with a bar accross containing determined points so your harness dont move around

cool, i want to do this to mine to over the winter. has anyone else thought of putting two racing seats in the back also? i think it would look funny with only racing seats up front

YEa that would be cool to do. How would you do it though? Guess youwould have to fab up some type pf monting brackets?

thats what im thinking, i have no experience in it though. you would probly need to put some carpeting in too. it would be nice though, then we could have recling back seats and could make a console in between them with better cupholders

Make sure if you are going to fab mounts to have them made by somebody who knows what they are doing (race/fab shop or some other type of qualified welder) since these brackets are going to be what holds you and your passengers asses in place in the event of a crash.
You might want to look at Japanese companies like Bride. I have seen a few bBs w/buckets in the back, so the brackets might already be available in Japan.

Also, for the same reasons as quality brackets, get quality seats. I know Bride, Recarro, Momo, etc. seats are expensive as hell, but it's better safe than sorry.

Oh yeah, one last thing about aftermarket seats. TRY THEM OUT FIRST!! Atleast try the seat you will be using in the drivers position. Make sure it fits and is comfortable. Take your time selecting a seat. Aftermarket seats are like shoes, one size DOES NOT fit all.

Other than that, good luck and keep us posted.

*sorry 'bout the threadjack

sparco does not make one for the xb.....and yes try the seats out, depending on your build seats fit differently. for me the jic majic seats fir me the best, the sparcos are too wide for my arse, unfortunatly the jic seats are like 700 each
