ok the part number is 3593.
If you don't see it on the shelf ask for it the Auto Zone I got mine from had it in the back.

If you want them to look it up or they say that they have to look it up in the computer, tell them you need it for a early 80's Toyota Corolla like a 82, or 83.

You will loose your horn button as well, you will need to figure out what to do on that, you will need to remove most of the airbag stuff as well. and at least unplug all the stuff under there, otherwise the stability control will go nuts. Depending on what all you remove your blinkers may not turn off when you turn.

I thought the airbag light would just stay lit as long as the bag was disconnected? I wonder why it would affect the stability?

yea the airbag light will just stay lit up.

te stability control comes on when you start driving, it has something to do with the car moving and steering when the sensors and still saying straight and it thinks you are sliding all over the place out of control. and then when you unplug, the three or so plugs under the wheel, you have the trac light on as well.

I may have to get that part that tricks the system into thinking the bag is still there then.

Use 3 Ohms resistors in each of the airbag's electical plugs. This way the control unit will think the airbag is still there. Also i used regilar Momo hub with 6-to-5 screws adapter spacer to mount my wheel.

Everything works. You may even want to plug the resistors in the Airbag harness connector by the ignition switch (where it connects into the clockspring). There you'll have more room than inside the hub.

I'm doing the steering wheel replacement in my Box tomorrow. I have a Grant wheel that I'm putting in. I bought a Momo hub for the xB and an adapter ring that connects the Grant wheel to the Momo hub. This way I retain my horn and the Momo comes with plug and play resistors for the air bag light.

There are three different adapter rings depending on which Grant pattern you are using.

I pulled off my emblem swap so I won't be changing out the wheel for now.

The MOMO i got from ebay came with only 1 resistor, so i had to get one more anyway.

I could put tape over the light but don't want issues with trac or stability control.

I recently had put a NRG hub and wheel in my box and the same thing has happened with the lights but if you hook the Gyro back up it will turn the VSC and Trac light off. I have a buddy that has done this to his tC and now his 2nd gen xB. you need to unplug the gyro from the airbag and then just plug in the connectors and find a place under that dash that the gyro can sit. I tested it by just plugging it in and it did turn those lights off. I just need to unplug my airbag and put the gyro back into the box
