There is a lot to go into, but I'm going to try to avoid arguing.

Basically

underground hip hop vs. mainstream hip hop
meaning full lyrics vs. jibberish
true to the game vs. sell outs

Littler brother is a big name in underground hip hop, there songs actually stays on topic unlike what you hear on the radio. Underground artists are true to the music and are not money motivated like main stream artists are. If you have heard of heiro, they can sell out a concert faster than a line up of mainstream artists. Little brother has made I believe 3 albums? Not sure, but aren't played on the radio because people prefer to hear about supermaning hoes and whatnot.

trust I know the difference

and I know what any genre of mainstream music does to the quality of most artists work.

i'm just stating the fact that it's odd to me that eG scion is sponsoring this and that the regular cover is 17 dollars.

If I remember the colonial correctly it is where someone was shot outside after a too short concert about two or three years ago.

Yeah it did seem kind of strange to me that eG would be sponsoring little brother, but hey, I guess they'd do it for cheap and to get their name out b/c price of admission is $17, but yeah I can see where your getting at.
