Default Anyone take out the VRD foglight blinders?

Just wondering if anyone has taken out the blinders in the VRD foglights? If so, did you notice an increase in brightness? Or was it too much of a hassle for the increase?

They are the "caps" that restrict the light from going straight out.

It would be kinda the same idea as installing high beams into your low beam spot. The low beams have the coated ends on the light.

If you look closely at the foglight inside you will see what I am saying. You can even see it at their website pictures.

I have done this is my previous cars and the light output was greatly increased, or so it seemed.

If no one has done it, I guess Ill be the scape goat.

Hmmmm. I'm running HIDs in there, not sure if that's a good idea for me..hahaha. I am interested in the light put out. However, it seems that the blinder might help the output somewhat because it helps to defract the light more times than a light shooting straight out of the fog light.

MADMARK- if u do the blinder removal... can u take a picture with only one removed(on a wall or sum) so we can see how much the light output has changed...

also... im runnin 10000K HIDs in my VRDs... is a good idea for me to cut the blinders?

It's not going to make the lights put out anymore light then they already are. The only thing that will change, is that the light will be all over the place and you will completely defeat the purpose of having the fogs in there in the first place.

you're just going to get rid of any cutoff you have with the VRD fogs. Don't take them out because you're just gonna blind oncoming traffic with glare.

Yea kinda like all the ANZOs out there who havent adjusted their cut-offs.

The foglights would be a lot less glare than that.
