i got the thick clear ones (i think they were Rubbermaid). In my wifes car we got one which was made with a thinner rubber and with her high heels she ripped holes all over the mats

maybe it was my high heels? I don't think it was that...

I think we have the same ones, I had grey in the Evo which are now in the fiances mazda 3, and I bought new black ones to match, but they ripped after a few months, hard to tell, but they don't hold any water, just dirt

I just received the Weathertech mats last week. They fit very nicely. One drawback is the holes on the driver's side don't match up with the ones in the floor. But they fit so snug, they don't move around at all. I ordered black and they look great. Really match up well with the Charcoal interior. (You can get them in gray or tan. I have a feeling the gray would be too light in color to match the interior.) I also ordered the rear floor mat as well. This is a great product. Well worth the investment.

Bdills,
Where did you source the set? The black is just so hard to keep clean. I was considering the gray myself but share the same concern about it not matching correctly. I may go with black. Thanks for your testimony. Just kindly share your source, please.

Safetyguy, I ordered them directly from Weathertech: http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvp...1142&Year=2008

Shipping was a breeze. Got them in 7 days via FedEx ground.

Also, the Weathertech mats will show dirt. No way around that. At least the dirt isn't getting into the rest of your car. Should be a lot easier to keep clean than carpet mats. The mats are surprisingly light in weight. But they also seem very sturdy at the same time.

I'll try to most my own photos later tonight.

I think by using the flash on my camera, it makes the carpet look lighter than it really looks in natural light. In natural light, the contrast between the mats and the carpet is not as great and they blend in quite nicely. My old floor mats were gray rubber and they always seemed too light when compared to the carpet. Hope this helps. You can also see how much they show dirt after a few days of use. Luckily, they are easy to clean.
