Default need help

i have a stage 0 kit with an hks bov and i have an auto tranny. anyways when i get into boost, after the bov releases air the cars rpms will drop below 500rpm and sometimes will even die. i also have an exhaust leak around the manifold...which i'm fixing this week. anyone have any suggestions on a fix?

i never had a problem with rpms dropping with an ssqv, only with a tial. could be possible your ssqv is going out and its not sealing entirely. start the car up and have someone rev it slowly, not building boost and see if any air is coming out of the bov.

Check and clean your MAF.

Or this can be tuning related, if your tuned

so the exhaust leak wouldn't have anything to do with it?

Yes it will. Fix that first then report back.

i fixed the exhaust leak using a new gasket and copper silicone seemed to work good driving around tonight. i didn't realize how much performance i was loosing with a leak. anyways the rpms still drop so i'm gonna hook up my laptop to the dezod partial throttle box and check the map, i've noticed when my bov goes off my afr dips way into the 10s so i might need someone to tune the base map

It's gonna do that because the BOV is past the maf sensor...the maf sensor reads all that air going in, but then the BOV let's it all out, but the sensor tells the stock ECU to add a bunhc of fuel to burn that air that just escaped through your BOV, so all that extra fuel gets dumped and you go rich.
Just tap the throttle enough to pull more air in and give the maf a new reading, but not enough to make the BOV go off again.
