Default Dealer and aftermarket parts

Quick question: I just installed HPS intake on my 08 Tc. So, whenever I go to a dealer for oil change should I replace the intake with the stock one then put the aftermarket one on again?

Even though the DEALERSHIP may tell you that if you put anything aftermarket on your car it will void your warranty... That is not exactly true! If something goes wrong with your car and the dealership can prove that it was because you put an aftermarket turbo on your car and tried to run it at 20 psi with a stock engine. (and blew your engine) Then they could tell you that you voided your warranty. When putting anything aftermarket on your car just be smart about it.

Leave your intake on, they won't care if it's only in for an oil change.

Had my Injen CAI on for my first "free" stealership oil change, no problem there. But they still charged me ~$20 for rotating tires. Have done oil changes myself since then.

They also didn't adjust for new F/R tire inflation pressures ... you might ask them to do this or you'll have to do it yourself.

Same here Mid Life, the dealer didn't even adjust my tire pressure---and on my first free oilchange they scratched my rims when they rotated my wheels. Changing oil is so easy to do (on my old civic), I don't know why I'm too lazy to do it myself on my tC. Maybe now I will since I just finished my 3rd complimentary oil. You should try it solo w166sxs, if you can install your intake then it'll be easy to change your oil&filter.
