View Full Version : Black hubcaps?
bikerman7502002 11-22-2004, 04:36 AM Has anyone seen any black hubcaps for our stock wheels? The only thing left on my black xb that's not black are the hubcaps. I would buy wheels but I don't have the money yet. Something like the stock 9-spoke in black or whatever anyone could find.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Jesse
T_Dot 11-22-2004, 04:37 AM simple solution
just paint them black
hotbox05 11-22-2004, 04:44 AM the 9 spoke looks awesome in gunmetal.
TheScionicMan 11-22-2004, 05:07 AM I've also seen some hubcaps in a dark gunmetal that look OK...

Louisville327 11-22-2004, 05:38 AM hub caps? what are hub caps?
djct_watt 11-22-2004, 06:34 AM Or you could just remove the hub caps haha
hotbox05 11-22-2004, 06:44 AM can we all say blackouts or as some people would say steelies
Old_Punk 11-22-2004, 04:00 PM simple solution
just paint them black
Of course, painting flexible plastic like the Scion hubcaps requires the right primer and paint.
firesquare 11-22-2004, 04:06 PM try these

beioski 11-22-2004, 04:23 PM I thought about painting mine (i even bought some black paint for plastic) but i chickened out. It might look pretty ghetto, like painting your hood black to look carbon fiber.
But really, I have my eye on some nice wire hub caps now. So who I am to talk about ghetto.
firesquare 11-22-2004, 04:53 PM nah its not ghetto. it's personal prefrence.
i painted my last car.s wheels Flat Black and they were nice lookin 16's for a Ford Focus ZX3
if i could post a pic i would :(
biblicone 11-22-2004, 05:28 PM before i bought rims, I did paint my hub caps black, and left the center scion logo unpainted. it looks pretty cool in my opinion.

from chicago... living in kileen texas right now... (army for the next 3 months)
nyteryda3 11-23-2004, 01:49 AM don't paint hubbies... just roll on steelies if you can't afford rims
wnsham 11-23-2004, 03:53 AM My steelies look pretty nice when they're shined up. I still want to get some rims someday, but for now I like it better than the plastic saucers.
2tone_xB 11-23-2004, 12:13 PM Just stick with hubs ON. Painted or unpainted. :D
bikerman7502002 11-23-2004, 01:09 PM Thanks for all the replies. I'll probably end up painting the hubs if I can't find a decent replacement set.
beioski 11-23-2004, 01:27 PM I would buy a cheap set from pep boys if you really want to paint hubcaps. You might regret it, and then you would have the stock hubcaps to put back on.

I agree... Don't f*ck up your stock parts... Find some good looking pep boys hubs and paint those! Or just rock steelies w/ a trim ring...
You might want those stocks hubcaps one day. Like when you sell your box and decide to keep your old rims. I still have mine....
And also... What exactly do you mean when you say everything is black, except for the hubcaps? Are the lights all smoked, with limo tint all around?? And black emblems? Something dark and mysterious inside me would like to see something like that  :D
