Default Turbonetics turbo kit on AEM EMS! 323hp and 336ft/lbs....

Guys,

This is from a customer car!
2007 Scion tC RS3.0 with a Turbonetics turbo kit. The stock engine died spitting a rod through the block before installing the EMS at only 3,200miles . The new engine is 2006 and I installed Pauter connecting rods and Wiseco pistons (std bore). Also installed ARP head studs and cometic head gasket!

The numbers where made boosting 18psi BUT the car is still running the STOCK S-PIPE !!!!! It is hurting power numbers badly but the 2.5" S-pipe that was to be installed on the car didn't fit and we didn't wanted to loose the appointment with the Dyno!
This was done on 93 octane pump gas as usual!!

With all due respect that seems awfully low.

Built motor, nice turbo kit, 18psi, 93oct and AEM Standalone making 323whp???

It has a bone stock exhaust system including the S-Pipe! With a free flowing exhaust It will see about a 30- 35 hp increase at 18 psi!

yeah bigger exhaust and maybe a bigger turbo and the number should jump alot.

My brother hit 309whp at 10psi on the stock motor with a turbonetics kit with the Hydra. So the stock exhaust is killing the numbers.

The numbers seem about right for a conservative tune, that size turbo and a stock exhaust. Nice work fellas!!!

tyr ptuning exaust... their turbo-back is around $950 and gives 45hp/70tq over stock exaust on 11psi boost... u should have more since you are higher on the boost mark. check them ou at http://www.ptuning.com/html/Item-Des...o&ModelDesc=tC

18 PSI is pushing that tiny turbo pretty hard. You can also see by the graph that power is not smooth and there are some inconsistencies there as well as an unusual hump with the torque chart. Open up the exhaust smooth out the map and try running a bit less boost. I suspect you are pushing her past her efficiency limits.

I didn't tuned the VVT-i at all. I didn't even knew it was wired and connected up until a few days after the dyno!
Honestly I have to read up and gather more info on tuning cam timing as I have not worked with it yet!

If 45hp/70ft/lb over stock was obtained on a Greddy kit at 11psi then I would expect even higher numbers with the Turbonetics kit at 18psi just as you said!!

Awesome work pito.

It deffinetly looks liek the exhuast is hindering it all. It just flattens out at a certain point.
