Default Another satisfied Progress Sway Bar owner

Just installed them this morning. Took an hour. Thanks for the great write-up GammaTNT

Went for a drive and wow what a difference! No difference in ride quality at all... The car still felt sloppy (like it regularly does) when just moving the steering wheel back and forth while driving in a straight line. Braking and accelerating feel exactly the same....

BUT cornering at speed is great now. Having never owned a front wheel drive car until this one, I just couldn't stand the understeer. But with the Progress sway installed on the stiffest setting, the rear end comes around nicely. It was definitely more neutral. As I drove through this sweeper turn near my house more often, there is still understeer as you apply more and more power in the turn, but the turn-in response is great. I couldn't be happier.

Now, to mod the seat (which I still hate), and this car will be perfect

For everyone, cuz I'm new to the forum and no one knows me... this is a stock '08 with no mods... The sway bar was installed with the car having stock shocks and springs.

im not sure. but i think you may feel a differnece while lowered just because of a lower center point. But idk if its true or not. Congrats..i want a progress sway too for a while now

hehehe..I actually don't wanna lower this car. Cuz the Scion is for a reliable daily driver while I start the project converting my 95 Street Miata from supercharged to turbocharged. And that car I've had for years.. it's slammed, but I'm about to install coilover perches because there's a specific height I'm going to need.

I just REALLY wanted to install this sway bar because I couldn't STAND the understeer.

But who knows.... maybe lowering springs and some sort of exhaust are in the Scion's future

ha just go with trd springs.. something a little bit more lower and a stiffer spring rate without sacrificing much reliability.. and your good to go..
