I have seen MANY MANY MANY posts about this. Some people say theirs beeps others say theirs doesn't beep. If it beeps they want it off if it doesn't beep they want it on.....

I will not take "you do not have this option" because some peoples beeps and some don't..... so if your going to tell me that I cannot turn the beep on/off on my car, don't bother...

Only answers I want to this thread are....... TELLING ME HOW I CAN TURN THE BEEP ON...

If I can turn the beep off for the seat belt thing (which I have done) then I HAVE to be able to have the option to having my car beep when I lock it.

IT'S MY CAR I PAID WHATEVER AMOUNT FOR IT... IF I WANT IT TO BEEP, I SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE IT BEEP...

Now... Who can give me a straight answer...

no.. i've never heard of a stock tC that beeps when unlocked/locked. that's only for like toyotas and lexus. the beeps probably came from an aftermarket security system... mine just clicks and lights blink.

 

Same here, I have an 08' and the lights just blink no beep. Like mentioned above prob just an aftermarket system

 

They dont beep. i worked at the Toyota Port in LB and have unlocked THOUSANDS of tCs...they dont beep. Other Toyotas do but not the tC. Just because other things are programmable (seats) doesnt mean that everything is.

now i do think that someone crossed some wires and got the horn to honk on lock/unlock.

Two of my friend's 08 tCs beep when they lock and unlock them. I think they probably have Scion Security though

 

Scion Security Does NOT beep

Some after market alarm do. Some dealerships will install an after market alarm rather then Scion Security.


Well what you're gonna have to do is buy a horn. get a relay. hook the relay up to the door locks, other side of the relay to the battery, other part to the ground, finally other part to the horn. Now your horn beeps when ever your doors lock/unlock.

no, you can't turn it on/off by doing some crazy brake/ on off acc/ combo.

^^ Well either way, their Scion beep so I guess the dealer they bought from added an aftermarket alarm. I don't see why you want your car to beep. It's annoying IMO.

ya, if it beeps or honks, its an alarm.

 

stick a timex under the hood. eventually, it will beep if you time it correctly when you unlock your doors.

 

If your not willing to listen to the answers then why even ask the question?
