Ok so i took off the big pipe in the middle of our xb's and it sounds like a big ___ rice rocket and a broken tractor going at high speed. But i just unbolted it from the header and just had it coming out close to the header. I have the borla exhaust and i wanted to straight pipe that completely so it comes out the borla. will it sound the same (ricey) coming out of the borla? is there something smaller i could put in place of that big ___ scuba tank???

Has anyone else done this or custom?

 

coryjames has a full exhaust, but with the TRC axle back.

 

Put a glass-pack in place of the scuba tank... 15-21" depending on your preference.

 

Im gonna buy a magnalflow cat and replace it with that. Maybe that will not make it so loud but make it a little bit louder

i added to 12" long 2.5" inlet and outlet resonators and 2.5" all the way to the axle back

 

I dont want that rice sound and i dont want it to loud. I just want it a little louder than the borla. But with no muffler and taking off that big scuba tank i know its gonna sound like a rice rocket. But will adding the glasspack make it more quiet but add a little sound?

 

well with the resonators i added after removing the scuba tank gave it a nice tone and not ricey at all... but i did run it with the straight pipe all the way back with now scuba and that thing was toooooooooooo loud but just did for fun but once the resonators got added it was a better sound

 

Thats what i did. i removed it and all i did was laugh and put it back. Might i ask where u got ur resonator cuz i might do that instead of the glasspack? was it louder after you did that but not to loud?

Cuz i just have the dual borla and i want it a lil louder with out the rice...
