It doesn't flow right.....those bumper would make sense on a wide body kit...but it look incomplete as shown :)

Well, you don't have to worry about anyone missing the fact you have a kit, sort of like no one would miss it if you were wearing a rubber nose. :wink:

anything that adds THAT MUCH to the overall size of the car = a little tacky.. JTautostyle put next to NO effort in making that flow with the rest of the car, and shoudl be slapped for even trying.

that being said, an OEM style bumper with some big 5" fogs would be HOT IMO!!

Y'know, it always makes me chuckle when JT Autostyle comes up. Mainly cos people claim it's "original" and "different" and so on an so forth... and it was, when Mitsubishi used it. Jt Autostyle's half-cocked adaptions of the Evo V front end are disgusting and shoddy. Doesn't work on the New Beetle (yes, this exact same front is sold for the NB), doesn't work for the xB.

I think car customization is much more original that that. you dont see every suv out there with a cadillac front. but for some stupid reason people keep putting the same crappy looking body kits on all kinds of different economy imports. its like people are like: "wow, that civic looks totally sweet, i want to make my car look just like it!"

if you want to laugh at me for having a stock bumper, please, be my guest. But dont forget to hate on everyone else here that doesnt have a body kit.

The xB/ bB should have its own style. This is not a 'sports car' or 'tuner car' and should not be pretend to be one. The whole point of the bB is that it is DIFFERENT. Don't do the same stuff to it that people have been doing to other imports for years now. Do something goofy. Chop the rear and turn it into an open deck. Chop the whole rear and turn it into a pickup truck. Chop the top and put a big 'jeepney' umbrella over it. Go with the spirit of the car. This is supposeed to be a FUN, GOOFY car. Stay with the theme.

TO EACH HIS OWN. the body kit is different .i dont personally like it because, the fog lights are big and round and everthing else about the car is box-like. the giant openning for the grill area is kind of funky . maybe if the fog lights where rectangular to match the headlights(they could be giant sized) and then they may compliment the center grill area. dont get me wrong the body kit after paint didnt look bad at all .its just not me. peace

Man that kit really ruins the look of the Xb....just doesn't have good lines to it....the front looks out of shape like if it is missing something to it...but i guess everyone has their own taste.

i think its cool your original bro. keep goin with what you want! paint it and it will look golden. some people love things that others don't. personally not my style but i have something in mind that people would think it would be a waste of money. Paint it and don't make a mess!!!!!

the jt kit is horrible for the scion. it does nothing for the lines od the car. the only thing jt did right was the lambo doors. they seem to be only ones to get the doors to open all the way

they make a full body kit JT Auto style was the first place that i saw it then they did it on Pmip my ride, the full body kit has an option for the exause. i know that people do't like it, but from my understanding from the website you can opt not to have the fogligts when it is made. but it has been a while since i have been on the web site

What I was really getting at is the insinuation that if you don't have a $1000 body kit, $1200 worth of rims and suspension, a $2000 sound system, and $1000 worth of leather in your car then your opinion isn't valid. I can have taste without spending an arm and a leg on my automobile. Likewise, you can drop a ton of money and make something that looks awful.

My issue with some of the kits is they don't match the "style" of the car.

The Evo kit, imparticular, has been thrown onto the front of every car out there. But most cars can't support the huge, round, rally lights. On the xB the round rally lights clash, greatly, with the large square headlights.

Also, while the xB is a box, most of the lines are pretty round (look at the actual corners, there are a lot of mild curves in there). So it gives the car a swept-square look. The Evo kit is all angles, sharp ones. And they don't match the angles of the car, so it looks like you have parts from a different car on it.

Lastly, it isn't all that original. Sorry, but it isn't. You can get an Evo kit for almost any car out there. So the xB parked next to your car at the show might not have the evo front end on it, there will be 100 Civics with it, 50 Focus' (Foci?) with it, etc, etc.

The other kit displayed looks better but it's a little "racey" for the xB. Our boxes have a very clean, very simple, design to them. Adding overcomplicated parts will tend to detract from that and will, probably, end up looking bad to most people.

I'd say look out for any kit that is styled on one from another car. The xB's lines aren't nearly as swoopy as most "sport compacts" and it will have a hard time drawing in many of the "racey" style kits. Go with something simplier (like a Ken Style or such). Something that adds to the car.

That VIS Octane kit is HOT, wish I had funds to buy such a kit. I'm just glad the xB is hot looking with out a kit so I can take my time to find the RIGHT kit LOL

looks to me like the bottom lip doesn't stick out as far as the bumper. anyone else notice that, or is it me?

i would not change the bumpers at all they look cool stock IMO but thats just me but the 5" fog light idea aint half bad it think it would look cool

The side skirts are not that bad looking. I have seen much worse lol. I would rather have a smooth side skirt though.
